    glad i had a chance to go in 2009 and kinda happy i wont be depressed this year when all my buds have qualified and i bubbled another 50 seater. lol. ty ub. now i only have to be depressed around wsop time.

    seriously tho, this was one of the funnest weeks i ever had in my life and also the first "major" live tourney I played. I was going to plan to go down this year whether i sat'd in or not.

    i'm not surprised it's cancelled. with the invention of the NAPT and all the other tours its gettting harder and harder for UB to compete. that and the fact >50% of the poker community still hates them.

    Such sad news. Last year was my 6th straight Aruba classic and it was the best trip of the year!

    Aruba was my first big live tourney as well....sad to see it go.

    maybe you are a dick....

    i know what the NA means obv.... but i assumed the PCA wasnt in north america, but i honestly dont know which continent PCA is in....

    regardless, i did clearify the "although it doesnt fit" in the 2p2 thread, ppl kinda seemed to like the idea, thought maybe it didnt matter.

    anyways i hope someone picks it up, and it seems NAPT is the new tour and apparently has openings for locations... so i will still hope to get lucky.

    pretty fucking sad.....went down there for the past 3 years and loved it everytime - this year I was really looking forward to it as usual - nothing better when the summer ends having a nice warm get away to look forward to.....please pick this up NAPT!!! ONE TIME!!!

    Was watching the WPT live stream yesterday and Phil Hellmuth said that it was probably removed because they think online poker is going to be made illegal and he thought that would hinder the turnout of the event. Seems a bit silly but im 99% sure thats what he said

    also - it should be worth noting.... I was watching the wpt bay101 stream live last night w/ Phil Hellmuth on the feature table. Someone ITT did confirm that Phil confirmed it's cancelled but he went on to say a couple interesting things....

    he said the feel amongst the industry and top pros right now is that online poker is 70% going to be legalized in the USA this year. he then goes on to say that once this happens the existing sites (and maybe he just meant ub but i dont know) will probably be bought up by the big casinos. he mentioned the Wynn by name.

    interesting..... what else do peeps know about this? do you think it's possible pokerstars or ftp would ever sell out? does anyone have the $ required to buy something like stars?
