annie,
i am/was a longtime UB player . I stopped playing there as much recently because of the lack of tournaments offered by UB. I do play there on Sundays bc you offer(ed) two nice tournaments. the $215-200k, which to be honest, having only a 200k guaranteed as your "premier" weekly tourney is laughable. Anyways, the other was the $530-75k. The $530-75k is now gone? Why? I am pretty sure that this tourney rarely had an overlay, and if it was, it wasnt much. If UB wants to be different and move in the right direction, the Sunday "premier" event should be at least a 350k. I mean look at your competition, some of their weekly tourneys get prize pools close to 200k. And please bring back the $530. Only make it a 100k guarantee (200 players shouldn't be unreasonable). and run sattys to these events. I know you are currently running sats, but i think you are running sats that ppl dont want to play. $50 and $100 turbo mtt sattys to the $500 and $20-$50 turbo mtt sattys to the "premier" tourney , whether it be a $300 or a $200. these are satellites that ppl will want to play. nobody wants to play a super short stack ultra turbo super duper $4 rebuy to some tourney. also, $10 mtts dont need feeders. the smallest buy in where you should be realistically running feeders is a $30. also, please run 10-20 person sng sattys constantly throughout the week for the sunday tourneys
cliffnotes:- bring back the Sunday night $500
- run sattys that ppl will actually want to play in (not super duper short stack ultra turbos)
- create a larger Sunday premier event-200k is a very small prize pool for a sunday
- create tourneys w value that players will want to play, i remember there used to be a $30-10k that I love at 10pmest

Super short stack ultra turbo super duper...LOL
Generally, satellites have a faster structure. But come on, can you please eliminate these 100 chip things and at least give players the chance to use any ounce of skill to get a seat into a specified event. Starting with 10bbs, and 2 minutes later have 2, is pretty much stupid. I dont mind throwing a few of these on for last minute chances. Other than that, its not even a logical concept to me.
The $500 was a great tournament because it allows you to play for 20k+ in a relatively small field. Sunday is the PREMIER day in poker, and there are absolutely no guarantees on sunday at UB. This does not make any sense. There is 1 tournament to play, and you're playing for 100k+ less than any other site. Please address this. -
What are you thinking removing the 500???????????????

You and I have been slingin chips on UB for many years. You and I both know why there was such a HUGE overlay in today's $200k. It's because there aren't enough affordable satelite's into it anymore. I feel the UB satelite schedule was fine the way it was. There were always decent $5 and $10 rebuy satty's that always attracted decent sized fields and the 200k almost always met the guarantee. However, when you go from a consistent 950-1000 players down to less than 800 today. That should send a message. And that message is the new tourney schedule blows! I've gone from playing 10-15 MTT's a day down to 2-3 now. And I know plenty of other regular UB'ers that are in the same boat. STOP THE MADNESS! And please ask annie to get a fucking clue, she obviously is not in touch with the common low-mid stakes player. -
yea god forbid she might have had shit to do today and isnt sitting here waiting for someone to make a post for her to respond too

paasiveplay u better hope they keep the short stack ultra turbos, something where theres more luck involved. cause u r the biggest suckout king i have ever played against in my life! hehehe ...just kidding friend..i totally agree, annie has done way more harm than good. she defiantely has no clue what online players want. i play maybe 2-3 tournies a day as well, when before the schedule change i was on UB all day long. BRING BACK THE REBUYS!!!!!!! Turbos suck ANNIE, obviously everyone else agrees, so why is 90% of the tournies turbos? who wants to keep waiting hours to play a decent tourney? and ur right she did ask for feedback, dont like what she hears, and decides to just ignore it. guess she thought she was gonna get GOOD feedback!!!!! so for the last time anni.....THIS SCHEDULE IS HORRIBLE. such a shame too cause that was my home site.

$0.10 turbo rebuy sat's into a $1.00 ultra turbo rebuy. thats just comical. what sane person would ever think that was a good idea? lmao!!!!!
-
do they have 100 chip satties now? if you are confusing them with full tilt word.....if you are right i might actually deposit on ub again b/c that is the shit
-
she found the time to ask our opinion am i wrong?
-
its defiantely true also $0.20 sat to same tourney.
-
The changes are great for bigger buyin players(with the exception of removing the $500 BI 75k guar....that makes no sense). I really appreciate them and I know a lot of people who are coming back to UB for the $109's, that havent played there in a long time. The only real harm done is to the midstakes players. I back a bunch of midstakes players and we're moving money off UB now because there's very little in the way of $15 to $40 guarantees.

im still loling that there is not a guarantee on the 109 sniper on a sunday LOOOOOOOOOL
-
You say 'create a larger Sunday premier event' but forget 'have more players playing on your site'. The 200k always has a big overlay as it is - making it bigger would just increase the overlay. Obviously their competition has biger tournaments because their competition has a lot more players. Other than that I agree with all your points.

UB getting Annie Duke to fix the tournie schedule is like taking your car that has a blown trannie to a mechanic and he tries to jumpstart it....you might get it started but you havent fixed the real problem
-
yea, atleats put the original gur (of $40K)on sniper. its jus silly to not have a gurantees on your weekend tournies. thats when u have most traffic, u gotta offer the pl somethin attractive. itd mos likely hit the 40k mark w/out a prob on a sunday. its prolly hit a 50k to 60k prizepool.
please put the $500 75k gur back plz. and have the origial satties into them, or somethin similar.
also add in a 200 in evenin aswell?(30k-40k gur?) -
im sure they will get this schedule fixed in due time, just keep posting suggestions and hopefully UB and Annie will take it all into consideration.( hopefully)

Annie we do need our multi seat guarantee daily sattys back, as you should be able to realize with the poorest tournout in the 200k in a long time. There was a great core group of dedicated UB players playing these all day every day. We would also like to see some $10-30 buy ins with a 1-3k guarantee (non sniper please) back playing earlier in the day like around noon to 4 pm. Seems that your schedule is more fit for West coast players with the late night starting times. It looks like you are spending all of your guarantee money on higher buy in tourneys and left the mid stake people out in the cold. Way too much effort is being spent on these ultra mega short stack feeders, which is not even poker. I know its hard to make everyone happy but i sit at these tables everyday and hear the same complaints constantly.
Thank You -
You know what they say about hope right?

Hope in one hand and shit in the other and see which one fills up first. -
I must say that I am pretty upset and taken aback at the person who said that I have not been listening to any player feedback. In less than a week I added the 25+2.50 guaranteed event. I took the turbo off the 7 pm 5 buck 5K guarantee with in two days. This week the 11 pm 5 buck rebuy is altenating between turbo and non turbo to see which gets a better response. I just sent out a bunch of adds of new PLO and PLO 8 tourneys. I am looking at the feeder schedule for the Sunday 200 also and adjusting that as well.
I am really trying to hear everyone and incorporate what I think will work. As to those pointing at the overlay today I want to say the following:
The event before I got to it was overlaying the same amount. You just couldn't see it before. Most of the multi seat guaranteed satellites were overlaying and UB gave a way a bunch of seats into it to cover the overlay. So the event was losing a bunch but no one could see it. I made the decision to stop with the free seats and the overlaying satellites and just let everyone see the weekly loss in the light of day. It didn't make sense to me to be giving away 40K a week in a way that no one even knew about it. Now everyone knows there is huge value in this event. Do you want a $40K overlay in a $750K event or a $200K event? I know which one is more of a give away per player myself. So please don't complain that I am now showing everyone how much that event loses every week. Just come and take advantage of the free money while it is there. deal??? :-)
Thanks!
