    I have been playing UB for about 9 months and I have to say the chat on there is the worst. I just sucked out a river A with AQ vs. QQ all-in in a sit n go 3-way and I had to turn off the chat after this guy wouldn't stop talking shit while I was heads up. I played party for about a year before I turned 21 and I didn't see as many chat tough guys. Has anyone noticed that UB chat is more idiotic than any other site with these kind of retards?

    I am one of the retards you speak of. LOL. But yes I do agree, UB seems to have lots of aholes who will stick around forever just to tell you how stupid they are. I like to put them on my buddy list and follow then to wherever they go next and then ask them questions like "did you like my play?" and "have you played much before, you seem new to the game?". This really gets them fired up; can't do this right now though, my chat is suspended.

    here's my assessment. And I feel bad for stating this as I was hanging out with the UB GM for most of today but UB has the absolute most egotistical players of any site. pokerstars has the youngest crowd. Paradise has the tightest communtiy. party has the dumbest community. LOL.

    the thing about ub is that it actually HAS a chat. sure you can type on other sites, but no one ever does. this is just one of many reasons that i'll pretty much never play anywhere else but ub. cause honestly, if you're not chatting and enjoying yourself, what's the point. also, ub has such advanced chat features that you can mute anyone from the click of a button. i'm not familiar with many other sites, but that feature should only add to ub's chat reputation.

    I agree. A guy berated me for 10 minutes after a semi-bluff move against him that worked for me. I thought he would have an aneurism when my semi-bluff hit on the river.

    Most of the people on UB are nice. But some of them really get worked up after a beat. Jeez, bad beats happen to everyone.

    I really like UB and this wasn't intended to disrespect the site or anyone who plays there. There are just a few people who go absolutely insane over a beat and I haven't noticed that much on any other site. The point was made about the UB chat and its smoothness, and I think this is a good reason why people rant because the other players can see and hear the chat very quickly. Most of the players are really cool and understand that bad beats are going to happen and don't sit around harassing you for 5 min after they get eliminated.

    Although it's blasphemy to even hint that beanie might be right about anything, he's right about this.

    There are asshats on every site, including UB. But there are also an incredible number of truly nice folks there as well.

    Tune the bad ones out. Mute them if you feel the need. But do enjoy the good folks you meet, wherever it might be.

    CUlater, just wondering but what level sng were you playing. I think on UB, people make a lot less stupid remarks then PS or especially PP. I play the $200 so maybe their is a difference then the lower ones. You'll get a comment here and there, but not compared to the PS crowd. Of course if you're playing jsbyun, that notion goes out the window. :)

    There is a definite difference between the $200 and the $20-$50 which I play. Thanks for pointing that out because I should have specified earlier. I think the $20 players get really pissed when they lose because they probably just put in the $25 minimum deposit on UB and now they can't play for another week.

    i find there are fools who can be very annoying on any site but think UB actually has the best "chat environment" and tournament players compared to other sites..

    I have to say that no one ever talks trash to me. I'm pretty sure it's well known that Trolls have the ability to come thru your screen and rip your freakin' heart out. Therefore, everyone loves the Troll and has kind, encouraging remarks about my play.

    The only negative remarks I ever get is when someone tells me I am the worst player they have ever seen, but I've gotten that on other sites as well as UB.

    its like that on every site, just depends, theres 1 on every table, that has probably had a bad day or two w/ poker and when they suffer a bad beat or they just get knocked out period they get mad and yell.

    my new thing is since i have gotten so much better at managing my bankroll, is when im sitting in a $5 and someone starts talking trash to the other player that knocked him out i say:

    stop
    are you that passioniate about that beat?
    does the $5 mean that much to you?
    whats your name man i'll send you $5 if you really need it

    usually after the 4th comment i have yet to see someone actually say "yeah send it, i'll be glad to take it"

    somehow maybe i get them to understand its not that big of a deal...??

    My problem with the idiots who do this is twofold.
    1. They are alerting people to bad play.
    2. I find it difficult to play when I am on the floor with tears streaming down my face and convulsing from laughter.
    Some of these people are comedic in their abuse. They just go on and on and on, repeating the same thing over and over in new and varied ways. It is like watching a "Three Stooges" movie.
