Now I'm just a micro donk, so I can't really judge, but... what the hell. Did this kid just completely outplay me here, or what? I had only just joined that table two hands earlier, so didn't really have time to see how everyone was playing. I took some time before calling, I've seen people make similar moves before at micro stakes, so I wasn't completely sure he didn't have a jack, but I just couldn't put him on a hand. I definately didn't put him on the second nuts though, that's for sure. So, superior players, what should I have done there?
  2. i usually play the same stakes. If he didnt have kings or jack, like a pocket pair or A10/AJ i could see someone making the same push trying to make you fold. I dont see you folding anywhere so just unlucky.
  3. Yeah if I was him I would have not shoved and tried to build me a huge pot.

    I woulda called with AA.
  4. Guess all the chips were going in whatever happened, so it doesn't really matter. I just thought it was a funky play by him. There were only a couple of hands I would have called him with there, so, idk maybe he just got over excited.

  5. I like the overshove. Any K or J will call. I always get stuck on making big calls in these spots when the board pairs to my overpair.

level? there's 3 of those left in the deck, so you're pretty much praying he has one of them or AA. even QQ mucks here

what an unusual, and likewise terrible play

although i dont mind the logic that a K, J, or AA will stack off here to this shove, the reason its bad is cause by slowplaying u can allow alot more hands to pay you off by filling out draws etc. In other words if u check and let AQ get there w/ a turned 10 you will gain value from that hand... also Ks and Js arent going away just cause a T fell so you still get value there. This is so simple idk why i bothered typing it out i guess im just procrastinating from studying bleh
