  1. just wondering what are all the things you guys have had to sacrifice to play poker? lost all respect from my family. (christians) lost touch with many friends due to long hours and unavailablility. Ive easily put on 15 lbs. in the past couple months. Completely insane sleep schedule etc All i can think of at the top of my head there are undoubtedly more things. How about you?

uhhhh really? is it worth it?

certainly i've made sacrifices, but loss of family/friends/health are pure losses, not sacrifices....just my $.02

completely agree...as for me...my family has always completely supported me, even though the majority were just waiting for me to fail, acting as if it was just a fad that i had to get out of my system...i've maybe gained 5 lbs, idk, nothing significant as far as health has changed...my sleep is completely fucked...there is hardly any consistency in my sleep schedule...i definitely havent lost friends, if anything i've made new friends because of poker...i do a pretty good job in balancing poker and my social life...i go out several times a week...lost a girlfriend, basically she decided to stop working and be a lazy fucking mooch as soon as i made some money...it's whatever...people look at me like im some complete degenerate when i tell them what i do, but i couldnt care less...it's straight jealousy...keep working your 9-5, hating life, living week to week while making someone else rich...
  9. Man I am learning that poker is not everything. You have to mix in life with poker. I have recently been unemployed for a couple weeks and have been playing many hours. The first week I totally let it consume me and it sucked. I was irritable with my girlfriend and her daughter. I was not mean or anything but I just wasnt myself. To sum it up. Take some time off. I understand that if you use this for your only income you have to put in so much time but it is just like any job if you dont take care of yourself your not going to be at your best all the time.

  10. Blowing my grades in school and thinking I was balla enough with my poker dough to bribe teachers for a friggin D so I could just pass the class...now I'm hoping poker goes well for me until I get my school shit straightened out lawl. Other than that, nothing really.

  12. I definatly fucked up my first year of school and lost a pretty sweet scholarship. I can't entirely blame poker though, 90% sure I would have lost my scholarship anyway

thankfully my family is extremely supportive of me regardless what I'm doing
