  1. Is anyone else watching this thing on FSN right now? I can't fathom how these people placed high enough in an online tourney to make it onto this show....

    The last hand:
blinds at 200/400, player 1 makes it 800 to go with KQ, player 2 calls on the button with A5, player 3 in the SB calls with QJ, player 4 in the BB calls with T3.

Flop T8x, player 3 bets 400, player 4 calls, player 1 raises to 800 (trying to buy the pot?), player 2 folds, the other guys call.

Turn 9, giving player 3 his straight, he nearly jumps out of his seat throwing 2K in chips into the pot, the other 2 players reluctantly fold.

First place receives $10K and an entry into a $200K first prize STT, also to be televised..
  2. these guys are terrible..you can see them just dancing around their house when they get a good hand online and are sad they cant do it here. I too am surpised how these guys got here.
  3. The six players all qualified playing freerolls which average over 3500 entrants. The top 10 advance to another grouped tourney of previous winners and the top 3 of the second tourney advance to the UB show. While I agree the play was tentative and awkward, it was the first time on tv for all of them and in some cases the first time they had played live or with actual chips. Not much more could be expected. I was just surprised that they survived so many people online with those skills. Maybe just wishing I was that lucky....LOL
  4. I agree their play was really awkward... but you have to give them credit. For a lot they aren't trying to be great players. You heard one say "I just can't wait for my kids to see me go all-in on TV."

They won a freeroll to get on TV, a lot of them aren't trying to make their living playing poker.
