  1. WCOOP #1 has a prizepool of almost $1.5M.

10th place gets $3,752 (only $1k more than 54th place)

    7th-9th place gets $9,021 (almost 2.5x 10th place)

    5th place gets $49,075 (13 times 10th place money)

Now I dont think a player finishing in 9th place performed too much better than that player who finished in 10th place.

I understand that this is a 6handed tourney, but if you beat 7200 players and finish in 10th place and only receive $3k from the $1,443,400 prize pool, this is a complete joke.

    What do you guys think?

  2. Don't worry I'm sure stars can find a way to make payouts worse for everyone.
  3. How about the fact that there's a $150 difference between 12th & 13th-18th?

LOL stars really outdoing yourself for this wcoop. bravo

  4. the payouts are very similar to the sunday mill. why are people complaining? the buy in is 215 dollars lol. i know thats a big buy in for online, but seriously, why do people act with a sense of entitlement to be set for life after finishing 10th in a 200 dollar tournament? if you dont like the payout, simply dont play, because its never gonna be changed enough to satisfy all players. but since stars will always try and cater to donkies and squeezers to keep the poker economy alive, you wont be seeing major changes to the payout structure
  5. i agree..those bubbles are insane..7th place pretty much lost a 80k hand cuz if they deal they all get 90k etc..all those bubbles were insane but went quick suprisingly

  6. UNSURE WHO IS WAS THAT BUBBLED THE FT

You just dont get it do you?
  9. I can't believe more people don't notice this. I am like everyone beyond excited about the WCOOP....

Now its here and I see you can play for 15 hours get 7th and get only 9k or even better get 10th and get 3k?? When there is close to 8000 players...

Some of you might rational that making 3000 in 14 hours is more than most anyone in other professions make, but thats not a fair argument imo...

Whatever, bottom line is this series got a little unsexy after the first night. Theres plenty of degens willing to dust off nightly 15 hour session but I guess I'm just not down for it...

  10. The entire point is that the final table should mean something big. I'd rather see them give a bigger percentage to those 6.

  11. Could someone please post the full payout, my firewall will not allow me to get to pokerstars website. thanks in advance.

  12. these payout structures sure seem to suck. I was thinking of playing the 215 fixed limit event tonight (7.30 pm) here in u.k. but events 1 & 2 took 17.5 hours and 15 hours....if event 3 gets just over 2000 entrants, first place pays 16.4% of prize pool, now i know that would be fantastic, but after the inevitable deal late on that would drop further and just seems a bit of an anti climax for what would be 16-19 hours of staring at the screen, zombified with the kids getting up in the morning wondering why they have to get their own breakfast, then amuse themselves all day while daddy lies slumped over the keyboard.
  13. I emailed stars about it, I suggest everyone else does the same.

Ask for answers, ask for change. Compare their payout system to that of FTP for example and how it is much worse. Using FTP made them change their daily tourney schedule throughout the WCOOP, maybe this will help as well.

I don't think the criticism was meant for 650th place....it was meant for places 7-9 (especially) and 10-appx 25. Especially the jump from 7-6 ($9021-$23,686) and 10-9 ($3753-$9021)

  17. This is why Roothlus suggested some of the more well-known p5ers form some type of a MTT committee to try and persuade stars and others to come up with better structures.
  18. LOL, I doubt an online player has the brains to figure out the best structure

  19. I thought the payout structure was a joke. It got 1.4 million, and 7th place is only 9k? Really? 10th place with a 1.4 million prizepool is 3.5k? Really?

  20. Obv they had some issues with the payouts in WCOOP #1.

    Please look at event #3.
    1st $73,385
    2nd $54,192
    3rd $38,927
    4th $26,192
    5th $21,676
    6th $17,160
    7th $12,644
    8th $8,128
    9th $5,012
    10th-12th $3,612
    13th-15th $2,709
    16th-18th $1,806

    How sick is this?

  21. Yeah gotta agree with Deadeye.... who would be mad about staying up 17 hours and winning 200k, but realistically out of 8000 people odds are you wont, even if you get deep like 15 hours deep you might make a couple thousand...

    is that realy worth it?

  22. Is there any game on earth more boring than a limit holdem tournament with 30 minute levels? 1hr15 in and just 5% of the field gone, haha. Whoever wins this deserves 500k for the boredom they have suffered.
  23. worst payout structure out there. CMON stars !!!
  24. Its just marketing guys.every poker site on earth prints the winner and his purse.the bigger the bettter the perception of the tourney.Hopefully it will help the wcoop grow and everyone will make more. But in the meantime it sux ass.Its called capitalism i think.

he straight up has a rigged acct on stars.

  27. made several posts earlier yesterday about this in different threads, total travesty, here is one

stars needs to fix payout structure, it was a disgrace in event 1, 1st place $212k, 10th $3.7k, with 7000+ ppl in field, but 102nd pays $2k, so $1.7k jump from 102nd to 10th place, but $209,000 jump from 10th to 1st. fkin complete incompetence, and unacceptable. doubledave gets 9k for 7th? and whoever outlasts 5 more ppl in a 7000 ppl lotto gets $200k more? makes total sense

10th place in this is the same as in event #1, where event #1 had $1 million more in the prizepool, so this in quasi-sane compared to event 1

  29. Yeah this is terrible and hopefully stars will change it for the future events.

Pacific Poker had a 1k buyin event with 2200 entrants where 8th got 30k and 1st got 1,000,000....What is wrong with these ppl.
