So a few days ago I posted about sportsbooks having had 1 of their checks bounce.
Since then it has been a mess. I have accrued $300.00 in banking fees as a direct result of this and still have not been refunded my $550.00 that originally bounce.
I also had a $1,200.00 withdraw that was pending for 2 weeks.
With regards to the bounced check and the bank fees: I had to fax them a copy of the returned check, as well as a bank statement. They informed me that they would not reimburse my account UNLESS this was done. So I called them 3 hours after the fax and they stated that they recieved it, but it would be hours/days longer before a decision is made. When the customer service woman kept repeating $550.00, I asked her about the $300.00 in bank fees. In very broken english, she stated that too would be refunded to my poker account. Until my money is refunded, I have a serious issue with this network.
Now the fun part, if and when they (cake network) refund my money, it will only go back into my account. This does me no good as I recently had to cancel my $1,200.00 withdrawn. That money has also been placed back into my account. The woman on the phone said that the network is investigating their check processor company and it may take 5 weeks or longer before they issue any checks.
Oh and to anyone who cashed out from sportsbook in JUNE. Be careful with those checks. I contacted the Nevada State Bank, which is where the check came from and they stated that all of Sportbook (cfs) checks have bounced (from month of june). They also stated that if I were to recieve any more checks from them in the future, that I should contact Nevada State Bank to verify that the check is legit. If I don't there is a good possibility the check will again bounce.
This has been a very frustrating experience. I will say that I have made 10 previous cashouts of similar value that have not bounced. However, the woman on the phone tells me that in early 2007 they had a similar problem with checks bouncing and that was on a greater scale.
The site's play is very soft, but I think once they get this problem resolved I am cashing out completely and going back to pokerstars. The play there is a bit stronger but I have never had any issues with cashing out.

oh and 1 other thing. If you google "black listed online poker sites" there is a link that gives a list of online poker sites that have been put on a black list.
The cake network is on that list.
