Ok, so here are the contest pages for the two individual boards:

I'll be working on the team contest but please feel free to check if these individual contests fit properly to the contest.
Thanks! -

Hi, this is what I found:

http://www.pocketfives.com/tournament/712240/
When we imported the tournament, it was detected as a Non-FreezeOut (Rebuy) tournament.
It was reported with a 24 buy in.
And for the Low Tier for this contest (where you are playing) the Buy In limit for Rebuy tournaments is $20.
That is why the tournament is not considered for the competition.
Please let me know if there is any doubt about the Buy In or the limit.

Is this an MET? http://www.pocketfives.com/tournament/712240/
The problem is that there's no way for us to identify it as one. We've had this discussion/issue in pretty much every contest thread. I'm open to suggestions on how to handle it as long as it doesn't require a large amount of manual work on our end.
FWIW, we are counting things with "Multi-" in the title as "freezeouts". An example would be something like this: http://www.pocketfives.com/tournament/709430/.
What are our options for automatically identifying METs? If there aren't any, they need to be moved into the rebuy category for the contest or you guys need to add missing MET scores in manually. :(
Here's some more information about how our tourney classification system works from a prior contest: http://www.pocketfives.com/f7/offici...ml#post6036857
The thing we did differently for this one was using the text "Multi-" in the title to override the buyin*players versus prizepool calculation as the determining factor -- but that calculation is still used for everything else. -
Nat, I am not sure how it works exactly, but is it possible to discount rebuys through name. For example in the low tier, if it is over $20 and +R or rebuy is in the title it doesnt count. Now the one problem I see with this is that UB doesn't put rebuy anywhere in their tournament names, but maybe you can convince them to change that (seeing as the wouldnt be included in future competitions if this way is actually possible and can work.)
-
could we determine its a met by the payout structure : in the tourny that flippa won the tourny summary u have says there were 1991 total entrants but it payed out to 378 places, could we use the fact that it pays out more than 10% to determine its an met somehow? no idea how hard that would be or if it would work
-
I mean, the contest was set up around MET week, if they don't count, the contest should just be voided
WelL... Not voided, but we need to find a way to properly score it -

This is correct, but we will wait tho and see if there is anything that can be done before we get to that point.. -
Again obviously you know if this will work or won't work, but looking through 3 peoples scores, every rebuy and cubed tournament is labeled as either +R, 1R1A for stars or (rebuy), (1r+1a) for tilt. If it is possible to say count every tournament under $50 unless they included +R, 1R1A, (rebuy), (1r+1a), then only count those if they are under $20, I think that would get most things because there shouldnt be too many UB scores.

Of course you already said it wouldnt work so sorry if I am wasting your time grasping at straws. -
There are some scores not posted on the contest page that should be like fatso's 60k superturbo on Jan. 25, my turbo 100k guarantee (200 turbo) on the 28th, the turbo 100k guarantee on the 27th, and big double A on the 25th.
I could go through it more in detail for everything, but something is probably wrong with the way scores are pulled if those are missing. -
Not sure how I feel about carrying on without resolving the problem... I thought it was pretty clear in the initial thread.. all buyins are listed along with ME next to them.. making it pretty clear that multi entry MTTs are included within each tier.. granted its more of a software issue since this is sort of new to everyone.. but just my thoughts..
-
Can't we just calculate out scores manually? I'm not sure what is going on, but this comp will be voided if for whatever reason we can't get the METs to count - that's basically all I've been playing.

This is an interesting idea. So we'd use the normal rules for UB and then use those title rules to just assume everything should be treated like a freezeout unless a title triggers a change. The only issue with this is that titles not included or title changes would mess it up. The good news is that we have some time to get this working correctly before the end -- although obviously everyone would like to know where they stand. If people think this is a good idea and it's comprehensive, we can try it out on Monday.

Looks like more METs. It's the same issue as we're already discussing how to handle.Originally Posted by driverseati
