  1. didn't happen to me, but sickest thing i think i've ever seen in a tournament, there's like 15 or 16 left in the 750k on ftp (this is prolly around maybe a year or two ago) some guy opens the button, the bb defends. flop comes J9x rainbow, bb c/r and they get it all in...the bb has J9 for top 2...but the button has JJ for top set. it clearly runs out 9...9 to give the bb quads. he winds up going to the ft with a big chiplead, and winds up shipping the whole thing for over 100k.

ok, one of mine...when i won the ftp saturday 109 (the one that's usually an 80k, but it was double guarantee week so it was a 160k this day)...there were like 60 or so left, someone opens, i jam QJo for like 14bb, the bb iso's, and the first guy snap calls...they both have AK and i river a J to triple up.

oh, and last week in the brawl i got J7hh aipf vs KK for like, let's say, a larger than average stack...flopped 2 pair and you know the rest

  2. This one I'll never forget. So far my best score. It is the Sunday 100r at the final table..
    - UTG Big Huni raises UTG I flat JJ IP, we are both ~ 40BBs deep, another player, very active and aggressive with 80BBs (we where #1, 2 en Big Huni #3) 3bet sqeeuzes to ~25BBs.... I tank and decide to shove it all-in (horrible option ICM wise...) and villain shows obv AA... River was a J :)...

This one last week was also not bad... Took the tournament down afterwords.

  3. Inaugural Meektown Memorial Day Tourney Circa 2010. 2nd major of the year. I have won the last 2 majors (Meektown Labor Day Superstack and the draft day Invitational). $30 freezeout with 12 runners. I held the chip lead or was 2nd in chips for most of the tournament.

Leading up to the suck out I simply start shoving weak tight mulestains preflop in late position, having to show down 5 high at one point. Needless to say my aggression eventually caught up with me.

So after a few hero calls and reckless futile shoves, I was down to 8 bbs 5 handed and it was my button. It folded to me and I shoved Qx5h. I get snap called by the small blind with AhQh. The villain flopped a flush draw and got there on the turn. One of my buddies mentioned a 7h would give me a str8 flush and BANG.....I nail it on the river. The villain struck me in the shoulder. I didn't know what to say to him other than sorry. I do not normally apologize, but I did feel bad about that one. The villain is the type of guy who will blind himself out to get his buy in back. I was actually surprised he snap called with AQ sooted.

Welp, needless to say I rode the lightning to the win and my 3rd straight major. I actually chopped heads up for $150 each, but went on to win the bracelet after playing it out. Just another day in da life. WHAT
  4. Honestly cannot remember any big ones for me. I just remember a big one against me, final 2 tables of 3r on PS AQ vs AJ guys binks a J on river right near FT bubble, goes on to ship it when i take 4th as he gets AA vs my QQ 4 handed later... guy owned my soul and cost me my first 5 fig score prob :(
  5. Full Tilt 75K...two or three tables left...I raise AK o...guy with AA flats, flop comes 10 8 3...i jam a check raise he obv calls...J Q turn and river for chip lead and 18K+

  6. Nothing good has ever happened to me in poker. Just beats and crybaby stuff. Best I can come up with is my a4 shoving into ak in an 11 dollar mtt FT flop dropped kxx turn 4 river 4. I went on to chop 3 way 1k each but that was 7 years ago lol.

And yettimans post above is always what happens to me on the losing end obv.

  7. JJ vs KK with 150 left in this year's WSOP Main Event for a 50 bb pot against the last woman standing. Binked the J on the flop. Weeeeee.
  8. With about 6 or 7 players to go in the Nightly Hundo Anbessa 3-bet me all in with AJ and I called with A10. Although I had him covered I woulda been short if I lost this hand. I don't remember exact details of the hand, but after the turn I needed his Jack on the river to complete my str8 and got there. Went on to win it for my biggest score (27K).

FT of the day time 100r I called DJK's all in with AK. He had AJ and although I flopped a king he flopped the flush draw- I felt like I sucked out by fading the flush. I eventually won the tourny for around 18K. Had I lost that hand I woulda won 3-4k.

But I can tell you a whole lot more bad beats that cost me money than the ones I dished out.

  9. I've got a few so i might as well contribute...

AQ>KK in WSOP main event last year aipf which propelled me to 50th and my first real live score and first 6 fig score (140k)
99>AA>AK at the start of day 2 of the 3k triple chance in a spot where I re-iso'd the original shover and AA woke up behind... flop 9xx finished 5th for 122k..
AK>KK 9 handed at final tbl of 1k Monday for CL which I eventually won for 94k..

  10. Back in 07' I had $400 or so in my account so decided to play 2/4 6 max and hit a heater ran it up to $4k so I play a $109 stars. I fold into the money and am pretty much like well I cashed who cares to I call off my stack with KJ vs QQ and bink, then A9 vs JJ and hit. I hit a rush to get me the the FT. 3 handed I get it in with KJ vs AT (sdouble) the runs out AT2JJ I chop for around $7k. Not my biggest but at the time I had never won more than $1k in a tourny. I go on to cash out all but $5k and lose it all at 2/4.

  11. with like 22 ppl left in the 42k guarantee $26 buyin on a sunday, i shoved on some1 with Q8 off from the bb on the button thinking he was making a move and he has Aces...flop comes like 5 6 J turn queen river eight...i wound up taking third for $8500 after losing 44 to AQ all in preflop for chiplead 3 handed
  12. yea bminty n1

    what up player
    gl
  13. reshoved Q6o into 44
    22>JJ 4 flushed
    AQ>KK
there were a few other ones
but i won all those with 15 or less ppl in the 2nd chance to end up getting 2nd to david williams

  14. in the wsop main event last year, my first every live tournametn, shortstacked goin into day 3, get it all in with 77 vs jj, flop 7 obv, end up getting 255th for 32kish and then a few months back in the stars nightly 100k, a shortstack shoves from mid position, i was 2nd in chips have qq and iso shove, the bb whos cl calls with aa, shortstack has aq, so drawin to case q, queen ball on the flop and end up shippin it for 18k or so
  15. 4. With like 15 left in the stars saturday 320 i get in AA vs QQ for a rly big cl the flop comes q 10 8 and i insta rip my shirt in half like im the freaking hulk of course i turn the Ace and im sitting there with a ripped shirt and 100bbs and the cl....i ended up chopping the tourney hu for my biggest score at the time for like 32k

    ^^^pure gold

Not that serious, but in towards bubble of Borgata 15K, this uber nit limps in the HJ and I shove on the CO with 910s and get called by BB and HJ with AJ and AK respectively. River comes a 10, I triple up and chop the tourney 3 ways for 4.5K which is sadly my biggest score.
  16. playing in my 1st live event get knocked out so play 250 2 day side event, a couple of hours in and i have been running the table whilst being hit with the deck making big lay downs that are correct and playing the best poker of my life. im the youngest at the table by at least 20 years and have been told for the last hour that i will get caught out.

i get kings on the button raise it up get one call from the bb flop comes KT8ss he leads, i say raise and he snap shoves before ive said the amount, obv high five the dealer when he flips over 96o turn 7 river 7

went on to get 4th for4k and change

just need to find time to get to some more events
  17. stars $50k guar, i win AK vs KK with 12 left for the CL and cruise through final table. won outright for almost $13k. first and only 5 fig score. fml
  18. This not a big suckout but the biggest HOLD of my life which prepelled me to win the $5 2rebuy 1addon and the funny thing is I actually took down the same tourny again two weeks later both for 2.5k.
I have 66 OTB and BB has A10dd, I have a decent stack (3rd or 4th) with 12 runners left, I raise on the button, BB 3bets and I insta shove and he snaps, this was for more than half my stack.
FLOP comes: Qd Jd 8s, TURN Jc
So these are his outs after the turn: Qh Qs Qc 9s 9c 9h Ks Kh Kc 8c 8h (any diamond 9 left) and Ah Ac As, 10s 10c 10h for a grand total of 26 outs after the turn

River: obv a brick, 2 or 3 i dont really remember, i just remember jumping out of my chair cuz i thought there is no way my sixes would hold :)

LOL sounds similar to my play with a few hundred left in $300 FTOP back in Aug '07. Knew restealing was smart but didn't know the right situations in which to do it. Shoved from CO against EP raise with K5, he snap called with JJ, BINK the K on the turn, go on to take 27th for ~4800 (sigh)...
  21. QQ against AA and AK aipf for 2/20 in the Mulli on Sunday. Went on to chop for 54k.

Honorable mentions to 77 > KK and AT > QQ earlier in the same tourn.
  22. I 4-bet jammed a8 off into Jem87's QQ 3rd hand of the Fallsview classic main event final table when he was 1st in chips and I was 3rd. Went on to ship it for 270k.

I remember watching you 3b jam K9o vs my buddy Jimboski30`s AQ at the final table of the Sunday Million back in July 2008... then spike trip kings on the flop. Jimbo even turned an A for a semi-sweat, but went on to finish 7th, while you chopped for 6 figs. That must have been a pretty big one for you as well.

    Reason: poor grammar
  24. In 2008 I was playing a 12500 main event package freeroll and make the final table with five people left i get ak of hearts when the flop comes down qh jh 3d i hammer flop guy just calls blank on the turn and i push he snaps with qj i blink a heart with one to come. After that i was chip leader and end up winning the package where you got nothing if you came in second.

It was over four times the amount i had ever won so i couldnt be more excited. I called my friends took them out for dinner and drinks partied all night and called in sick for work the next morning. Great times

  25. I can't remember the exact stack sizes but I got it all in PF KK vs AA vs. the chipleader during the first hand of the final table in a $30 MTT on UB back in 2007. Spiked a K on the river. Think I was 7th or 8th in chips before that hand. Went on a tear after that and knocked out 4 or 5 more players in like 20 hands.

Ended up winning it for my biggest score to date for around $3,500 or so. After the MTT score I was hyped up (of course) and sat at a 5/10 NL table like a moron but the heater continued and I doubled up twice with sets to make it a $6K night.

Whenever I'm running bad (almost always) I try to remember that hand and that night!
  26. Wish I had a reply, usually on the receiving end. UBOC upswongz 1 time?
  27. This was only for a mincash but it was in a 10k so it was pretty cool.
Early day 2 of PCA I end up b/3b powerjamming KQdd on a 9d8x3x board over some scandi who ends up having 99, turn T, river J.
    for the lolz.

  28. 5 balled 22 into QQ deep in ftops 100r to give make me like 1/60 or something and go on to chop.
     1
  29. I use to live in New Orleans so would go to casino when we got through bartending on Bourbon. Been there about 15 min I flop a set of tens against a flopped set of aces.....river ten. This actually won the bad beat jackpot for me. After tipping and shit think I walked with 6K. Not bad for 15 mins of work

LOL yep. That would defintely be my 2nd biggest equity suckout. Your buddy was running over that table. I run gooot.
