The UTG limp is causing huge problems in my game. I've started to see it constantly and I'm not sure why. I'm normally playing 4-6 tables at a time so picking up reads can be difficult. How does an UTG limp effect your playing? I find myself folding a lot of hands that I'd normally be raising with or else limping behind in position. Am I the only one having problems reading this?

If U're going to Limp and there is an intial Limper, I can't see the Problem with this, the inital limp protects your expected limp and U're also last to act. I play low limits and the UTG raise generally doesn't indicate A strong hand (unless 3/4 Bet) I find bad players limp with hands like 22+ 109s+.KQo. Play your hand as normal, if that limpers re raises you raise its pretty clear your up against a hand and may be able to release a marginal hand with out spewing alot of chips to find out your behind. Keep on open limping IMO.

howabout dont open limp...raise small but you dont get any1 to fold by calling ... think about in basic principle
1. nobody is going to fold to u
2. you will be playing the pot out of position with mediocre holding most of the time
3. if your at an agressive table and somebody bets in position unless you are comming over the top of them you will be flat callin a raise OOP
4. I think i recently heard bel0w and somebody else maybe sctrojans saying they never ever open limp let alone utg and if they say it its good enough for me
5. unless you have mastered the basic strategy of the game (this should mean your roi is atleast 15% or better) then you are better off working on that before you get fancy
Note that early in a low-buyin tourney i will occasionaly limp low to mid pps 22-1010 if the rest of the players will stack off to me, but in the long run you are probably beter off raising unless somebody has limped in front of you.
