  1. Am I the only P5er who's totally impressed with a 23-yr-old US college guy who puts a picture of Mona Lisa with big boobs as his personal photo, writing lines in the lead p5 article like:

"In all facets of life, those who take the time and thought to expand on basic knowledge become better at what they do than their competition."

    and

"I like to label this “heightened” frame of mind as “thinking outside the box”"
    (his quotes, not mine).

Should the V0id open a meditation center?
  2. hahaha

  3. He's 23 not 13, nice words aside it was one of the best front page articles I've read in a while. Nice work.
  4. i enjoyed the read as well, however I thought a few of his points were obv.
  5. meh... maybe its just me but im not that impressed w/ another boring (and as stated, obv) sng article.

sng experts imo are just sort of blah. not hating im glad he's successful but rly
  6. in the second hand where he pushed, i think he got lucky that the guy didn't call him. people are more inclined to call with marginal hands with an M of that low. there is no such thing as risking your sng life because frigg its a 9 person sit n go.
  7. Dude's a real nice guy, and a solid winner in the $27 and $60 turbos.

  8. its ok if hes called donkkkk ...void runs good and suck outs any way!
  9. personally found it great
  10. v0id pwns

    good article, I enjoyed it
  11. Thanks for the kind words

    BTW, I'm not 23 or 13. The correct guess is 19 :)
  12. I thought it was a very well written article, props! V0id I'm just curious how much are you charging for sng coaching?

  13. Thanks for the compliment. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post that in here, so send me a PM if you'd like and we can talk more :)
  14. v0id is da trufe
  15. I found the article to be extremely helpful compared to some of the other articles that get put on the front page.
  16. A VOID In Me is dparker?
  17. V0id owns my soul, i remember beating him in a pot one time in a $6.50 turbo. Highlight of my life

  18. v0id is a very cocky SOB and talks smack to the instructors at sng icons but he pwns so gl havent seen the article yet
  19. I wish I was good enough to be cocky, got a long way to go before that :)
  20. DParker, Im on the case in OT. Now complete with STD and hooker accusations to compete with other high drama threads.

Sadly, Im getting my ass kicked.
  21. V0id is very good, and still improving regularly. Expect big things from him by the time all is said and done. I "a v0id" him at the tables.

    V0id-
You are a tremendous contributor to the poker discussion forum, and I make a point to read your posts. Go you.

Nice read. To those who have said he is stating the obvious, let's not forget that some of these concepts are very new to many of the beginning lower-limit players. I think V0id did a good job putting his thoughts into a piece that all players could understand.
  22. i found the article very interesting an d informative thanks void!
  23. Jennifear- as always you are a class act and I can only hope to be half the teacher you are. I've always admired how you handle yourself in the forum and are always willing to help, and you have as good of a knowledge on SNG's as anyone I know.

I did try to make the article apply to all types of SNG players, not just advanced players or people just starting out with them. My intent was to include something for everybody :)
  24. Liked the article. The more I read about being aggressive later in a sng or with a small M, the more it inspires me to stop being tight around the bubble. I've got around a 20% ROI at the $2 small stakes and I want to improve this before moving up. Maybe an uptick in aggression will help. Thanks again.
  25. i actually thought he got lucky in the 1st hand because from my experience aceweak is no good there MOST of the time or I take a suckout against KJ/Q or even Acehigher if i gamble there. I just feel like you can usually find a better spot to get your money in good instead of taking that risk, but I guess from what V0id said if you want a higher roi you have to take those kinds of chances and hope it holds.
  26. Is it just me, or does he kind of look like Ralph Macchio?

  27. Nice article void.

I think it is important for those wanting to get better to step back from the complex math involved in the game and look at it situationally. I def. do not have a v. good understanding of the math involved in ICM but still manage to squeeze out a profit at the $10 - $30 turbo MTT's. Sometimes I guess being profitable has alot more to do with reading the situations and acting accordingly.

Also to the above poster who critisized the call u made with your suited Ace against the UTG allin you have to understand that you are beating his range here. I dont want to offend anybody here but make sure that before you take somebody's opinion as gospel that they have some sucess to back up their claim. And don't criticise some1's advice with a clearly impressive track record when you are a $1 donk.
  28. Appreciate that heaps. Always nice to see you at the tables (not for my wallet though)
  29. I thought it was a very good article. Write more of them.
  30. I will gladly. If there are specific topics you might have in mind, PM me and I will surely consider them
