Whats up new to this site well at least this is my 1st post.
I am headed to Las Vegas next week thursday thru monday.
I was wondering if anyone has any advice on daily tournemnts
in Las Vegas. I am looking for some tournies with good structure
and good starting chips. Any recomendations will be greatly
apprecaited. -
Ceasar's

Anybody have any personal experences with the daily tournies in vegas. Recomendations???
-
I guess it also depends on what buy ins you are looking to play.

Im headed to veagas on Wed, cant f'n wait. If your lookin for lower buy in games it looks like Binnions is the place to be. They have 4 or 5 daily tournys, only downside is it's off the strip. There's a couple other places that have good tourny strusture and some that suck. allvegaspoker.com is a good resource. good luck at the tables
-
I am also interested in getting some info on vegas tournies. I have been to allvegaspoker.com and looked at their tourney listings, but it seems incomplete.
I don't see any listings for Caesar's Palace there, so I went to Caesar's website and found a pdf file that says there is a noon 80+50R game, and a 7pm 120+100R game. But that is _all_ that the pdf says. I assume these are daily tournies? Is there only a single rebuy allowed, or is it unlimited? Are there any other tournies offered there?
Also, I am a bit confused about the listing for the Wynn. Allvegaspoker has the Friday Wynn tourney at 3:00pm - but Wynn's website says all tournies are at noon. Which is it? Also, the smaller buyin tournies listed for the Wynn - are they just sat's into the bigger buyin tourney?
Finally, I don't see any big ($100+) tournies listed for Saturday or Sunday afternoons. Are there any, or do the poker rooms just mostly run cash games on the weekends? I see some listings for Sunday night at the Mirage and MGM Grand, but I'm planning to fly out Sunday night, so I don't think I'll have time to play those.
I am planning a trip for May 26th - 28th.
Thanks for any input. -
I have never been to Vegas but am moving out there from May 22nd to July 13th, can someone please reply and tell me where is the best place to play tourneys/cash games/where are the fucking fish? Thank you

it costs a lot more to run a live tournament than one online

Well i am headed out on the 18th I don't care to much on the buyin even though i guess i prefer the lower end of the food chain. I have looked at all vegas but it is very incomplete. I am thinking about some of the tournies at The Orleans becuase the have hi/lo but need to find a few more to play. I also dont want to get into a rebuy fest . I hear the 1-3 cash game at the Wynn is nice as is the 2-5 at the Bellagio if you get there early.

The Wynn $330 on Thursday at Noon is awesome 3000 chips 25/25 blinds to start 45 min levels anywhere from 50 to 90 people. Not sure about start time Friday I know it's a $540 same chips, blinds, and level time.

lower buyin the sahara is good at $42 + 1 $20 rebuy decent chips with the rebuy and levels are decent.

Wynn is Tuesday thru Friday with Friday being a $540 and all others $330 it's an awesome tourney.

Last Sunday I played the $75 (with 1 rebuy and $5 to the dealers for extra chips) at the Orleans and it was decent started at Noon but a little off the strip and the $125 6pm at MGM was okay my friend won it in like 4 1/2 hrs for $2300 or so.

how about SNGs in vegas are there any like at foxwoods??
-
I played a daily tourney at the Stratosphere a few months back. Buy in was 50 bucks. You get 2500 in chips to start. Structure was nice. Had 1 optional rebuy for 50. It was like 50 players. Paid out four places. And in true AFINK93 fashion. I finished 5th. Didnt get one hand better than A6 suited and pocket 77. Thats it. But played tight and hung around. Not a pro-level tourney. But a nice one anyway.

the wynn has a good one
try that one for sure -
Wynn has a sng sat to their tournies in the morning like 8am or so Caesars had sng's real cheap when I was there other than that didn't see any sng's.

Wynn has best daily tournament starting at noon with satellites starting at 8am. Structure is awesome, FT concludes about 8-9pm or so. You might check the venetia nas well since they just opend a pretty big room.

Caesers 80+50 is best low buy in tourney in vegas. Every day at noon
80 buy in gets you 1500 in chips
50 re-buy (which you should take to start) gets you 3000 additional chips
40 minute levels (the best for a low buy in vegas)
You can start with 4500 chips with 40 minute levels with the blinds starting at 25/50.
Cant get much better than this for 130 bucks. The 7:00 125+100 is the same structure and is obviously also a great tourney.
Good Luck

Is the Ceasers tournament a multiple. rebuy tourny. I kinda want to stay away from mutiple rebuys, but if it is the best maybe i should play. I have a decent backroll not huge. couldnt afford to put 500 into a rebuy to play it the right way.

The Sahara's one that someone had mentioned was my favorite tourney when i went there... theres 2 maybe even 3 of them a day... i know for sure one starts at 11 PM.
lowest rake for sure... 42 buy in 20 1 add on only, If you lose you can buy in as another person. Normally they get over 100 people and its pretty bad ass.
2000 chips start
1500 for the add on
Start at 25/25 blinds go up every 20 mins
For lower limit this is the best one... cheap and decent pot.
I didnt know about the ceasers one or i would have tried that out... sounds like a great structure.
Good luck man!!! hope u have a good time. -
Sounds good thanks everone for your help. Here today Vegas tommorrow. VEGAS BABY VEGAS

The biggest fish are at GVR( Green Valley Ranch) for cash games. It doesnt seem to matter what limit you play they come there in droves. They see the show AMERICAN CASINO on T.V. and they migrate to the tables and play some of the worst poker you will ever see. The play is worse than a .10 turbo or a 3-5 rebuy.
Its easy to get to its in Henderson right off of 215. If you dont mind leaving the strip then its worth it!
