    As most people know I have a blog with Jared, Antonio and Brandon Adams (yes, I am the box on Sesame Street doing his own thing)

    I spoke with Jared before the tournament. Some of the details might be a bit off but I did my best.

    Jared “TheWacoKidd” Hamby had a very interesting day and ended it with one of the more popular tables in the room.<span> </span>His day started in a coin flip Jared had AK and his opponent had JJ and the Jacks held up which brought him to the mid 200’s.<span> </span>From there was a couple of hours of patience.<span> </span>The players (which is also reflected in Brandon’s blog) were calling stations, so unless they were playing for all of their chips they would call off 40% with nothing.<span> </span>So TheWacoKidd played ABC for the most part for the first few hours.

    At the 1k-2k level Jared had 290k, there were 2 limpers in the pot when Jared looked down at AA and made it 8k.<span> </span>Both limpers called and the board came J 9 3, the first limper bet 25k, middle guy folded and Jared walked the dog.<span> </span>Turn brought a Jack and the limper bet 25k, Jared made it 60k and the limper moved all in and Jared insta-folded.<span> </span>Limper showed him a Jack.

    Another shorty moved all in and Jared called with AK, player had AA and Jared was down to 200k and on the grind.

    The next table was where things got exciting; Tobey McGuire, Humberto, Mr. Rain and Pairdeboard21 from p5’s were all at the table.<span> </span>Tobey and Humberto were nut peddling and Mr. Rain (he was chip leader at this point) was fairly active as you would expect.<span> </span>Jared lost a big pot with Mr. Rain when Mr. Rain made a set of 9’s on the turn from the SB, Jared had 10’s on a low board.<span> </span>Jared is now less than 100k and gets Tens again, the big blind is David Wells who calls and when the flop comes K J x, David checks and Jared bets ¾ of the pot.<span> </span>David moves all in and shows a complete bluff, which had Jared steaming a little bit so he sat out a few hands.

    Then it was all in time.<span> </span>Once he was back up to 100k this hand came up.<span> </span>Mr. Rain raised it to 25k and got a caller, Jared was having a few drinks and nut peddling when he looked down at AA on the button, as he shoved <span> </span>for 100k both called.<span> </span>The pot was 300k and it could be go home time.<span> </span>The flop came A Q x and Mr. Rain puts the other player all in.<span> </span>That player folds as Mr. Rain tables A Q confidently, meanwhile he is drawing virtually dead.<span> </span>TheWacoKidd has a preferred live account.<span> </span>

    The night ended with him at about the same chip level after that pot.<span> </span>

    People were asking about Humberto but for the most part everyone was really cool with Jared and Humberto congratulated him on his recent success.<span> </span>What I don’t think people realize is that as much as you may hate someone’s antics there is a tournament going on and Jared spent most of the day on the grind.<span> </span>He did say he and Tobey talked quite a bit and other than being very reclusive he was a cool guy.
