At the final table of the ftops a discussion came up among myself and some of the regulars on the rail as to why there werent any bigger buy in razz tourneys on a regular basis. If you feel like me that there should be and you would be interested in playing these events then let support know. I composed a form email for each site that you can feel free to use if you are interested. There are bigger buy in events for pretty much all the other games, but if you are a razz player outside of the wcoop and ftops the biggest buy in you can play anywhere is the 24+2 2k on ftp.
for stars:
When pokerstars first added razz multitable tournaments you had a decent set up for them. I believe every day had a buy in between $20-$40 that got a decent field size very comparable with other limit events of the same buy in. However, when you did the tournament rescheduling you effectively killed razz tournaments on stars for anyone except microlimit players. The only razz tournaments now during peak hours are the $10 1k, which runs in direct competition to the full tilt 24+2 2k razz tournament, and a $1 buy in. the $15 and $20 buy ins were moved to the early morning and afternoon, and the 30s and 40s were eliminated completely. There are now no razz tournaments on pokerstars really worth playing for a mid to high stakes player. There is no $215 weekly event for razz, or even anything close to that, though horse, limit and no limit holdem, plo, o8, and stud hl all have one. Im sure there would be just as much interest in decent size buy in razz events as there would be for those games, especially if they were placed during decent hours. Please bring back the mid size buy ins during peak hours and add a larger buy in weekly event.
for full tilt:
During the final table of the recent razz ftops event a discussion came up amount several of the razz regulars who were on the rail as well as myself as to why full tilt does not have a regular weekly big buy in razz event. The daily 2k is a good tournament, but there is nothing larger than that. At one point you offered a weekly $100 razz event, but it was eliminated. I know there would be interest in a weekly bigger buy in razz event, either the return of the 109, or a 69+6, and it would get a decent turnout every week, especially if it was played at a decent time and had decent satellites to get people in, like the 8.80s and the sng satellites that were run for the ftops. Cash games of comparable size to a buy in for a bigger mtt run constantly on full tilt, and there are plenty of players who would be interested in such an event an event. -
