I'd say with this whole abosulte thing going on they knew they had to make a statement to the community. They probably will have a tough time proving that he was multi accounting...but i assume they will take their chances in court if they get sued for the 1.3million. Its worth it in their eyes to be viewed as a reputable site vs having a cheater as their biggest tourney winner to date.
-
Go to, http://www.pokerstars.com/wcoop, the update has been made (still had TheVoid as the winner most of yesterday) but I don't see any official statament. I figure they probably will not post one on their site, can't see it being the best marketing move to make such an announcement where Joe Public may be browsing.
-
Good point. So, no one can stop online cheating. Thus anyone that plays online is dumb. It will never be honest.
-
it's obvious all big $ cash games and MTT's have cheaters of some sort in them, that's why i stay away from them

Saw this on another site, came onto pocketfives and 2plus2 looking for more info, and was suprised not to find any.

If so is a pretty massive poker story to go along with the absolute poker affair. -
the search feature must not have worked for you. this is old news on p5, as several threads exist on these boards concerning the issue.

Sorry for repost, massive story and wasn't seeing any info on it, haven't been on pocketfives for a while, and when I do come on I see this and the absolute poker affair. Makes me wonder about the future of my current profession.

Why is it so hard to give the guy a quick answer?
Not every player is engulfed in poker forums everyday to have all the info. Maybe he could have searched first, but either way, direct him to the link w/ the answers or give it to him yourself. -
I did search and I found you fucks giving the same LOL response to other postings.
-
I did, hence me posting that link to more useless posts. Hence, you're still a jerk off.
-
dude most the people on this site are annoying aholes so dont even worry about ur post. i cant remember the guys name who got caught...but i guess it was some european pro (know one too famous, at least not that ive heard of very often) who multi accounted under his SN and his "sister's" sn...i guess he ended up winning the thing under his sister's sn like a moron and got caught.
