Been out of the game for a bit, so if this has been discussed exhaustively already I apologize; but has anyone else noticed how the new standard/weak/whatever play w/a flopped set is to weak lead (replacing the good old check raise push)? I attribute years of TV coverage where everytime a pro bets out a made hand the announcers say what a strong/pro move this is.

And in other news, we have landed on the moon.

I do both but when I lead out its about the same as my c-bets, about 2/3 pot so not really a "weak" lead.

This was early in the FTOPS #9. I lead out slightly less than 1/2 the pot after hitting the set. Not sure if I played it right on later streets but at least he didn't check behind on the river.

you actually set up the check raise on the river, why didn't you follow threw...no draws hit, so unless he happens to have called you with an inside straight draw on the flop, you have him....alternately, you could have check raised the turn as well, then lead out the river if he called, but ck/calling the river is VERY weak, imo
