yes, and it was downright hilarious. He had like 4 Bb's and limped from the sb against Antonio who had 83. they check a dry board and the river brings and 8. Antonio min bets and Phil calls with his K high.
-
It was pretty funny not sure what he was doing/thinking?
phil L and antonio were laughing at him the whole time -
Yeah, it's true. Hellmuth played like a micro donk hoping to cash for $1.43 in a $1.10 MTT online. It was hilarious. I was screaming at the screen..........."PICK A HAND AND JAM YOUR STACK YOU 11 TIME BRACELET WINNING DONK!"

No way u can compare Gabe to how Hellmuth played this week.. One of the top 3 worst TV performances by any human being at a poker table in history.]

i thought he was a good player but after watching it makes u wonder how he ever won all those bracelets. it was the worst i ever seen. kara scott played way better when she was shortstacked. just folding your blind everytime to a button raise was pathetic.antonio played bad heads up after dominating the table.

Gabe Kaplan was seeing flops with like eight big blinds with Q7 suited. That's pretty damn bad. Obv, folding to less than a big blind is worse, but Kaplan's shorty play was atrocious. So was matusow's set mining with threes with 12 big blinds and calling oop with about the same stack with 67ss against an UTG raise.

It makes you realize that some of your "poker heroes" really stink. Meanwhile, I think Antonio is a sicko/much better than i thought.
Edit: I really hope Hellmuth did this as some type of publicity ploy, because anything else is awful. -
Annette needs to report on her experiences playing with these guys in this format...it'd be interesting.
-
Wondering how The Brat won all those bracelets? Check the field sizes. 9 of his 11 bracelets were won before the Moneymaker poker boom. He has won 2 in 7 years and one of them he bought in a $1,000 rebuy in 2006.

I think Hellmuth was thinking that there's more value in him lasting as long as he did and blinding out, with his self-promotion and UB promotion on the show. Maybe he lasted an extra show or two and felt compelled to just blind off for the extra advertisement...
And it's also not like he put up $20K for the buy-in, he put in $0 so in essence it was a freeroll. I'm not defending his play but I'm sure these two reasons played a part. -
pretty sure this is just how of these guys play.....
just goes to show you how much mtt's is running goot when you can const. blind down to 4 bb's and eventually win a tournament. (even tho this was a sng, im sure they play the same in MTT)
This also shows me how much i respect cash game players and shows you why matusow and hellmuth can't win/wont play HS cash. -
with like 8 Bb's left he had K3 suited on the button and i was yelling at the TV: jam it...get it in.....(he folded then:) idiot idiot idiot
and lol at his J10 hand he limped and flatted the min raise with -
Just curious, how could he have figuratively blinded out?
-
I couldn't stop laughing the last 2 episodes. Just goes to show what people say is true. Deep stack he's scary, but short stacked he doesn't have a clue. I was talking to a friend today and he has a theory that Phil knew what he was doing was really bad, but just wanted to be on TV longer and if he somehow went on a rush he looks like a genius.
-
that has to be the only logical explanation, i mean ..............i am speechless

what season? episode was this?
-
It is up anywhere to watch?
-
Youtube. I would like to hear what Hellmuth has to say after witnessing his play. He had to be embarrassed although I realize he would never admit it. Not only his play, the way Laak and the magician were laughing at his expense has to be embarrassing. I would be reluctant to show my face in public after that performance.

sounds about right

it's on pokertube.

i literally puked when i watched the PAD shows...i mean there is no way someone can play that bad...
it´s so embarrasing what hes doing there...talking about beeing the best no limit holdem tounrey player ever...LOL and then playing like a stupid fish..
And i LOl´d really hard where he was like..."they cbet every flop and i fold like 30 times to the cbet BUT WHEN I CALL I GET A FLOP BET AND A TURN BET OUT OF THEM OR EVEN MORE"...
Weeeeeeeeeeeeeee PHilly do the math on that one...
He´s so terrible these days...take em out of the TV shows...i can´t take it anymore..
makes me sick when i watch him playing...
callin a raise in the SB with pocket 33´s and 11bb or w/e and the claiming that he´s getting outplayed every hand....LOOOOL just shove there and be a man ONE TIME PHILL..
C´mon Plz play Poker...
