  1. OK, so im playing in the $3R on stars when this happens. I opted to re-raise preflop because the original raisers range is fairly wide, and the flat caller had been playing very loose. I wanted to take control of the pot, i think i probably should've raised a bit bigger though. Whats your play once the orginal flat caller then shoves it in?

  2. don't play rebuys, but...

*edit:* If I raise* I def raise bigger, 36-3800 probably. The allin reraise, barring substantial prior info(previous outrageous bluffs, ect) feels like he was hoping for a raise and waiting to spring w/ AA KK or maybe is a little scared with his TT-QQ, AK. I probably fold.

What's your image, tho? Have you recently folded to big reraises pre? Might make a difference...
  3. How loose has he been? Also is he a smart loose? He might read you as squeezing two loose players and repop you thinking you have air. I think in these spots a lot of people turn over hands like 77 - JJ or AQ AK. You will still have 30bb if you fold so i would opt to fold as your not ahead of much imo.

Also i dont like this raise at all.

    1) Why raise? your deep enough to play for set value take your pot odds and implied odds and hope for a 9 and let the fishies build a pot for you on the flop. By raising you turned your hand into a bluff, when you do have set value.

    2) Raise is def too small. What do you do if they both call and now you have 99 oop in a big pot against two loose players. Def not a spot you want to be in. If your heart is really set on raising here then put in a bigger raise to represent a stronger hand. But again there is no real reason to raise here unless you intend to call a shove, which is unlikely. Bc then ur not raising for value your raising to bluff.

Im guessing you called he showed 77 88 or AJ and won.
  4. 1. Your position really sucks, so why raise? If you're going to do it OOP, then I think you have to move all in. Not that I would do it, but how are you going to play this with overcards on the flop and no 9? Infinitely better to just call and set mine.

    2. I think you have to give this up as played. This smells like a trap by the flat caller, but even if it wasn't, a call is way too risky.
  5. seems to me a coin flip don't think he flat calls with tens or better agaisnt a loose raiser don't mind a fold but a call i think is problablt my gut call what happens??
  6. I ended up making the call. I felt like in a $3 tourny that not many players would be capable of flatting there with a big pair preflop. I really felt like his range consisted of alot of small pairs. he turned over AK, and I got the nice hold. Stil not sure if I made the right call though. <TABLE id=HB_Mail_Container height="100%" cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width="100%" border=0 UNSELECTABLE="on"></TABLE>

  7. hmmm I like being aggressive in the $3r as you can really muscle the table but I hate this play from the SB especially from a mid position raiser and a flat caller. If in position I would probably raise to $3600. From the SB and because you are all deep enough I would set mine here. As played.... I have a tendancy to not believe flat caller re-raisers that much and I am probably calling expecting a low pocket pair, suited connectors or A10-AJ style hands. That he flipped over AK just speaks poorly of his play, put a note next to his name and have fun taking his chips in the future.
