    ???

I had been pretty active at this table, but villain hadn't been loose from EP so I thought that 3betting would get rid of alot of hands i wanted to keep in. Also, think flatting really disguises my hand. On the flop I raise expecting him to shove a high % of the time. If he shoves I snap-call, but wwyd when he clicks it back? Just think its an awkward spot. Thanks for input.
  2. i'd wager all my chips.
  3. Goofy spot really, as most villains would not click it back with 77-JJ here. I suck at reading strange lines like these preflop, but if villain is not a clown I would expect to see AA or a boat a decent amount of the time here. There may be quite alot that we beat in his range as well, so call flop-re-evaluate seems good, hopefully we can get more info from his sizing and the cards that peel off....quite possibly folding to a strong turn bet.

EDIT: Actually he has less than a potsized bet left on turn... I didn't see that, call flop and call turn, not folding.

  4. Weird. Mostly when this has happened to me it has been strong. This weird line should set off alarm bells and you can lose the minimum. Call and re-eval I think. He could be full of it and have something worse but l guess you need to follow your instinct and any subtleties should tip you to what he has. He could just be being stubborn bcause of your active image, trying to sieze control of the hand. Or he could really have a monster, I think monster is more likely. You mentioned you have been active, so I'd level myself into calling down if it is not too expensive.

Last night I was faced with a weird line and look what I was up against, thank god I didn't stack off.

    Board ran out 647KK.

From the pre-flop min-raise I thought opponent had a big pair, and I had great pot odds to call and was deep stacked. I Had 77 for top set on the flop. I raised the flop and called the turn, opponent gave off a timing tell that made me suspect the K helped him, and the bet sizing looked very sly like he was trying to induce something. He bet the river under half the pot, I thought for a bit and levelled myself that AK was more likely than KK and I had to raise the river bet, so I reraised it, only to have it clicked back. Given the pre-flop action and the way the hand played out, was pretty sure I was up against quad Kings, so I just sigh called because once again great pot odds.
