What would you do? I know the flat call is a little nitty but the guy hadnt played many hands at all... i dont have a very big stack, or otherwise I would have 3bet folded to a shove.
  2. Your not deep enough to set mine with your Jacks ... and you didn't shove pre... So if this isn't the board your looking for to get it all in here i don't know what is?

  3. dont fold

and noted that you will 3bet/fold JJ to me.

  4. in the hand, i raised, he time banked and shoved so i called of course. my real question is, what is the BEST play pre-flop? folding is bad i suppose, but like I said, he had played 1 hand in the past hour. do I 3 bet and get it in?

  5. I shove this 100% of the time..literally...dc if the guy hadnt played a hand ever...u cnt call with 20bbs and shut down on an overcard or something. Its a Donkament just ship and prey
  6. sup man....you have 22ish bbs and ur gonna need chips and you have JJ. 3 hands have you crushed. AK,AQ,1010 easily fall in his opening range as well. 3 bet/call any shove here no? If you run into a cooler so be it.........you know what they say jus fire up another one. glgl.

    Peace

  7. is he varying his bet sizes at all, he 3x'ed it, std for him? how often does he continuation bet, do you think he is good enough to fold to a three bet? whats his EP open range, you said tight, how many hands have you played? how many left\how are the payouts structured? your table image?

  8. Just shove pre. You have an M less than 10 and by shoving, you do have some fold equity. Flatting with your stack is pretty weak. You are ahead of his 'tight' range.

without more details my first instinct here is to three bet and call his shove. shoving likely only gets called by one maybe two hands your 50/50 with (ak\aq). with a three bet\call your looking at a little bit wider range and a bit more EV. honestly i think its probably threebet>fold>call. Im thinking your just not deep enough to be flatting. plus the reverse implied odds for that flatt have got to be pretty bad.

  10. the only single way a flat can possibly be good pre is if the guys opening range is superwide and he cbets 100% of flops. In which case we just raise his cbet/get it in.

In most cases its either 3bet get it in (vs avg $26 tourney player) or shove (vs good players)
