  1. I know they just started their tournament schedule at Mountaineer this week and was wondering if anyone went to the $100 weekday tournies or the $300 today. If so, how was the turnout?

  2. I heard that turnouts for both were strong, with alternates being needed.

  3. I was there the day of the first tourney and they had I heard 310 entrants. They didn't have room for over 300 so the extra people were not able to sit down until people were knocked out, obviously they were not too thrilled about this. I expect them to smooth out these tourneys in the near future.
  4. Where is this in WV?

  5. Did they really lose to PITT with a National Championship game berth on the line???

    Is that possible??

    WTF?
  6. GFY
  7. i played in the 345 today.. 94 players, a decent amount of play and dead money at the tables... took about 7 hours to hit the final table. I expect there to be over 100 next week. The tournament was ran well IMO and with 10k starting chips and 30 min blinds its not really a shove luck fest like their smaller tournies with 20 min rds and 2k starting.
  8. So you wouldn't suggest the daily $100 they run because of the structure? I pulled up their calander, which only shows scheduled tournies for the rest of the month (tomorrow). I'm assuming they run these $100 (weekday) and $300 (saturday) tournies daily however? I'm from the Pittsburgh area and it would be nice to have a decent card room to go to that's relatively close. Thanks in advance for opinions/info.
  9. Correct. I wouldnt recommend the 100. Save your money and play the weekly 345. If you are looking for tournaments i know plenty of legit underground rooms in pittsburgh that run tournies. Also wheeling island will be opening tournaments soon. but believe they will be cheaper. Ill let you know how the structures are
