I am considering using WU to make a deposit into poker stars for the first time. As it stands right now I have the cash to play but my bank account is overdrawn for personal reasons and this can't be taken care of at the moment. I wanted to hear from someone else who has used this before, is it as safe as other methods? Can I really get the money within an hour? And what will I be looking at for charges from WU?

They charge like 20%. (I think its $120 total for a $100 deposit, so a $20 charge.)
Ussually the money is in your account very quickly, sometimes less than an hour. -
Translation: I am hoping to take my last $50 cash and cover the $400 in overdraft fees from Neteller/Firepay. I just need one good run, Ill cash out, and Ill be even in the morning!

this is the way i normally do it and it is around a $15 fee but you can easiy make up for it with your winnings onine :) i just do it because i did have my neteller account hacked into once (i got all the money back) and just dont want to deal with that kinda crap anymore
money normally takes around 30 minutes or so from the time you punch in the mctn number -
I've used Western Union for deposits into party poker And Poker stars and in both cases the money was in my account within an hour, usually less. Other than the charges I also recomend it. Oh just DON'T EVER make a withdrawal from you account by Western Union (some sports books allow Western Union withdrawal). I tried it once and it cost me $50 to take out $500 from my account.

When I used to deposit, to party a couple times, it was this way. They had a couple of different cities it would go to, one much more expensive than the other. The fee was never more than like 15% if I remember correctly, and the more you send, the lower the % I'm pretty sure, at least to a point. The location you go to can check how much it will be ahead of time if you give them the destination.

You shouldn't be playing any poker at all if your checking account is overdrawn......
