So I cashed some money out of Bodog on Monday and requested it be sent via Western Union. The very next day I got an email from Bodog with the details for picking up the $$$$. So I go up to the local homeland grocery store that also happens to be a Western Union place to get my $$$. The girls enters all of my info into the computer, and then stares blankly at the screen for a good 3 minutes. She then informs me that she can't find anything in the Western Union system about my $$$$ and to try back in 20 minutes.
So, I head home. When I get there I get on the Western Union website to check on my $$$$. It shows that the money has ALREADY BEEN PAID OUT. WTF?? I then called Bodog and asked them if they knew WTF was going on, and was informed that they would "look into it". So I called Western Union and asked them WTF was going on. They told me the money had already been cashed out and that they couldn't do anything unless the sender disputed the payment. I asked if they could tell me where the money was picked up, and was informed that it was against policy. So I asked him if the money was picked up at the specific location that I attempted to retrieve the money just 15 minutes earlier. He told me that it would be in my best interest to go back to the location and have the manager call them.
So off I go again. I get there and tell the manager what's going on. He's clearly confused by the entire situation and takes 30 minutes just to find the Western Union phone number. He informs me that Western Unions records indicate that the payment was payed out at their location, but they haven't paid out a single payment all day. So great, this should be easy to fix, right? One hour and 30 minutes later he's still on the phone with Western Union. He then says "Thank You" and hangs up. He tells me that Western Union will have to issue a new control number for the transaction. He has no other info, not how long it will take, not how I am suppose to get the control number, nothing.
So this morning I call them and they inform me that I should be able to go back to the western union location and get my money with just my name. Whew. I head back up there, tell the guy behind the counter WTF happened, he enters my info, and payday is here. I thought for sure Western Union was going to bad beat me for my cash. -

That would have given me a few moments pause. My first thought would be that a scammer somehow got my email and intercepted the control number. With all the scams going on right now, I'd sure be nervous if that scenerio unfolded for me. Glad it was just a Western Union glitch.

The good news is you got your money and also that Bodog is paying quickly.
