What is a 3bet? what is a 4bet? what is w$sd?
-
3-bet is a second raise preflop, or the third bet after the flop
IE: SB/BB post 50/100 respectively, folds to cutoff who raises to 275, button 3-BETS to 850
or
3-players to the flop, EP bets 100, MP raises to 400, button 3-BET shoves for 1500
4-bet is one more bet than a 3-bet
I'm guessing W$SD = W%SD??
winning percentage at showdown -
The blind is a forced bet, so the BB is the first bet. When you open raise you are putting in a second bet and when you open raise and someone reraises you they are 3betting you by putting in the 3rd bet. If you shoved you would then be 4betting.

Also nice to see this guy didn't get flamed for asking this question. Welcome to the site man.

I think the middle of the night/early morning crowd takes it a little easier on the hatorade

Has anybody ever seen a 7 bet?
-
i agree, lately this has just been a place to promote personal feuds and flame everyone..... this site has helped me a lot and i don't mean to sound corny but it's nice to see it used for the right reasons every once in a while

I used to think a 3-bet was a 3x raise,
i.e. sum1 raised to 600 (@100/200) then someone re-raises to 1800.
ooops lol
