1. I've been a solid SNG player, with a 17% roi on FT according to Sharkscope. I've been trying to transition to cash games because I have a baby now and I don't always have 1 hour+ to sit and play. I've starting playing .10/25 nl. So far I've lost $98.95 over 2764 hands, for -14.3 bb's per hand.

The only obvious leak I've noticed in my play has been calling some decent size river bets with decent to marginal hands and running into big hands and not catching any bluffs. According to my poker tracker my VPIP is 16.88%, preflop raising is 6.98%, and my total aggression factor is 3.06. According to their auto ratings this is pretty decent tight-aggressive play. I feel like I should be crushing this game, but I'm losing my butt instead. I realize that I need 10,000 hands for a better sample size, but I've had only one really vicious beat in this sample(river quads to beat my set over set for a $50 pot), so while I would like to blame variance I don't think that's the main culprit. What in the heck am I doing wrong here????????
2. stop calling, if you can't raise, fold
3. focus more on punishing weak players while u r in position

4. lay down marginal hands on the river unless you have a better read
5. 1st thing is forget you SNG stats and 17% ROI. That just doesn't translate to cash games.

Rember that postflop play is where the money is in cash play and it isnt' an all in fest preflp that SNGs can be at times.

Take the time to get to know the games you are playing in. How other players are playing. Cash has many more variables than SNG's.

Be patient and you will probably do just fine.
6. move up in stakes, obviously you're too good to be playing those low stakes fish
7. "The only obvious leak I've noticed in my play has been calling some decent size river bets with decent to marginal hands..."

This is not your only leak if you are losing. Post a few tough hands and ask some questions. Also, what game(s) are you playing? Full table? Short handed?
8. I have a 11.5 poker track BB and also have a pretty signifigant hands played. My vpip is 31.26 and my pre flop raise % is 22. Without having watched you play, I would rate your play as tight/weak. You don't want to be "calling" a lot on the river. And you have to start raising more with weaker hands when folded to you in position. Part of winning cash games is projecting the right image. Right now your image seems to be that of a tight player who is easily bluffed.

I play exclusively 6 max.

Hope this helps and good luck.

9. You know nothing. In fact, you know less than nothing. If you knew that you knew nothing, then that would be something, but you don't.
10. I agree I have other leaks, I just don't know what they are. I play full table. Here are some big losses:

11. Wow why did you bet the river in hand 2? Hand 1 open for $1 and then make a bigger 4 bet. Also probably quit cash games and go back to sng's... forget about the baby, it will be around in years to come, whereas poker might not.
12. Hand 2 everyone checked the flop and the turn and I thought I could pick up the pot. Hand 1 I was hoping the guy had a K and I could get him all in. I wasn't counting on calling all that money going for the runner runner flush. As for sng's I know I can get better results in them right now but I'm determined to figure this cash game thing out.

13. If I was guessing, your overplaying top pair. Also, A lot of people have trouble with hands like aa and kk on rag flops. My main point is, u dont want to play a monster pot at low level games (prolly not at higher level either, but there is more bluffing involved there) with one pair.
14. First hand: Bad beat, put him on your buddy list and keep value betting him. You probably need to raise a bit more than 3x at these stakes to narrow the field and define the opponents' calling hands. Your reraise to $4 was a little light, as was your bet on the flop. In both cases you encouraged weak hands to call, not a bad plan with AA but it reduces your ability to read the other player's hand. Overall not awful, just unlucky, no big deal.

Second hand: Opening from 3rd seat at a full table with KQ is marginal and difficult to manage if you get any action. Again, raise a little more and only open with this hand from an earlier position against weak tables and/or to vary your play. I would have made a continuation bet on this flop (it's not the best flop for it, but if you get called or raised you are done and you really don't need to see a turn). Betting the river was a waste of money after checking 2 streets. When you bluff, make sure whatever you are trying to represent makes sense based on the betting in the hand. Here it was pretty clear you didn't have a pair of any kind, so the 33 called and took the pot. Had you bet on the flop or turn, he may have folded his 33.
