What ever happened to FTOPS Avatar races?

    Those were an awesome way to get into many of the FTOPS events and I haven't seen em around since last November... Did they really stop running them or am I missing something?

    These were cool, I hope they bring them back into the mix.

    I think they didn't get a large volume of action because the majority of FT customers couldn't commit to playing all the events they'd win a seat to, so they just didn't play the avatar races. Now however, with unregister for T$ available, problem solved... I think the avatar races would be more attractive to everyone.

    These were satellites to multiple FTOPS events. The buy in was $200+16 (which you could satty to of course), and the prize package might be $1500 or $2000 (or whatever) in value as entries to several FTOPS. It was always specific events, like each prize package winner will be entered into FTOPS events 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9 (for example). They would run one for groups of NLHE events, one for all the omaha/O-8 events, etc.

    yay support!!!

    i dont really know what chances we have of getting the AVATAR races back
    but I'm gonna e-mail them and ask em for it... i think that if they get several e-mails they might entertain the option of having another one of these tourneys
