What ever happened to Murphdog?

    ESPN had a marathon of the 2004 Main Event coverage on last night, and I was watching some of the later episodes. I remember Murphdog used to post here. Anyone know what is up with him? Did he/does he continue to play major live events? Was impressed with his play and seemed like a good guy. Just wondering….

    You talking about John Murphy? The guy with the huge stack who overslept? I heard that after his AK lost to JJ he enlisted in the army and now he is in Iraq.

    The guy who posted here as murphdog1 was not John Murphy.

    he lives in la now i think. i saw him at one of the bellagio opens not to long ago.

    ahhh. I see. Thought it was. Anyway, was wondering what happened to Johny Murphy. Thought he'd pop up again in a big tourney at some point. Guess it's only been a year and a half and he was only 22, so I guess he still might.
