Chopped 109 on Sunday back when it was "small" for 22.5k...also had horse bink 70k ftops score which I got 30k+ profit off of. That was over a year ago. Since then, it's all been downhill and nothing has ever "rejumpstarted" my career. Maybe once I'm outta backing it'll turn around......

i thought about making an "official consolidated bef99hwk, I run bad/never win anymore thread" in bad beats and just quoting all his posts in there -
was grinding sngs back when they were softer than soft - had like a 20k roll - went to aruba in like 2008 for the 5k that i got basically for free - ran like a god getting aa/kk/ak/qq every other hand deep and ended up min cashing for 8k which was obv huge.....ty aruba run goods
-
Got first, then second, then third in 12/180s in a row. Then first again the next day.
Been fucking shite since then. Haha. -
used to play SNG satellites to the sunday majors on party poker back in 05. About 3 months into that took 6th in the PP 250k for 16k. Ran that up pretty good for a couple years and now I'm terrible.

I had about 300 dollars in my account and decided to play the Step B for 7.50 Euros. Managed to win all the way up to Step G in the one night and then had to wait the whole of the next day for an EPT sattie to fill up. Eventually it did around 10pm and I ended up winning it for an 8k EPT Berlin package going through in the 1-2 with Busto_Soon. Remember the final hand I shoved AJ and was called by KcQc. Flop Kd6c3c : (. Turn Ah BINK!!!! Played in Berlin for an amazing experience, playing against many of the pros I'd only seen on TV before. Didn't cash but definitely has spurred me on to play and try and become a better player.

played a $26 satty to the $75 bracelet race 1 package gtd ($2k was what the pckg was worth)...got in, ended up shippin it
-
Worked my way up with small scores, then binked a 10rb late 2006 for 10k.

Another was getting heads up with charder30 in the first poker passport monte carlo freeroll. Was down in denver and came home to an open freeroll table. Proceeded to get heads up with like 4/1 in chips. 2nd payed 5k and 1st was a Monte Carlo seat(worth 20k). I remember lookin at the payouts and said fuck it im playing for 1st(thinkin I could get T$). Ended up heads up and they told me if I won I HAD to play. Luckily I got heads up against charder(balla) and he ended up giving me an extra 5k for the seat(ended up with 10k). It worked out pretty well for both us obv. Good times -
i won the 9AM 20k on stars in may for 6k

same night finished 17th in the NHG after losing a flip for CL -- confidence is soaring at this point
couple weeks later chopped Borgata Summer Open Event #1 for 10.5k
three days after that won 4k in another Borgata event
paid off EVERYTHING I owed money on..
since then, i've finished 3rd in the 40k on stars for 4k
chopped a few other live MTT's including the first ever 25k guaranteed @ Delaware Park last saturday for 3.3k
i pwn live MTTs, lack focus online, but im working on it... when i bring my A game i'm a beast... im a massive clown when i don't though :(
been a sick last six months and i've learned a ton about my game, bankroll management and my approach to the game, both live and online. it's a process, but i'm firing on all cylinders right now, waiting to bink a big one. had a major setback at borgata a few weeks ago, went up to play the ME and instead degened off 5k+ playing craps. that CAN and WILL NEVER happen again. if it does I will never gamble again--including poker. -
I won a couple small mtt's for like $1k each in 2 months time, but had to take it off and use it...then I helped my friends with a backing business. I made and distributed the spreadsheets to their horses. They gave me a $400 stake last year which I turned into 3K profit. I then won the $11 rebuy on pokerstars while running for them for 12K. I then FT'ed (and won) a couple $33's and FT'ed the nightly 70K.
My friends quit the backing business, so I moved to other backers and my mtt run has gone way downhill this year. So, now I am just playing $11 45 mna's, crushing those, and hoping to get back to the MTT scene soon. Until then I will be studying and working on my MTT game and continue to own the 45's. -
"like 30th in the ftp 500k (750k nowadays) first time playing after sattying in sometime back in late 07 for my 1st 4fig. doubt ive done better in that tourney since then."

Got second in the 11r in the summer of 08 for like 8 or 9k. Thought I was good so I moved up a bit and later that year got 2nd in the 50r for 20k. I then thought I was really good and proceeded to lose most of it over the next few months playing 2/4 plo. Looking back at HHs from then I was fucking terrible.

Yeah on a scale of 1-10 how important is it now that you get 5 figure score in the 750k for the rest of your life?
-
Had a 100 bankroll, played a 50ftp sat to a 2500ftp sat into the 750k. Won the 50ftp sat, then got a seat from the 2500ftp sat. This is back when you couldnt unregister so I left work 1 hour early so I could play it. Ended up busting a pro and min cashing for about 450$ total. Pulled out 300$ that night. Next night played the fifty fifty and shiped it for 10k. Month later shiped fifty fifty again for 10k.

$15 roll --- SNGs ---- $200
$200 roll -----4/180s and other micro tournies -----$1000
$1000 roll ----- took second in a 26er for 4k or so -----$5000
$5000 roll ----- took second in the big sunday 55 for 23k ----- $28k
$28k roll ----- took second in sunday million for 177k
ended up winning heaps during late 2009, but in 2010 i went on a huge downer and almost had to quit
then my horse binked mulligan and i got second in the sunday 2nd chance to give me the bankroll and confidence again
now ive been consistantly working on my game and been playing/running better than earlier ths year
btw, i hate 2nd place -
Seems like I only play above my bankroll because I don't get to play that often. Had a few 10k scores online over the years to keep me afloat, but chopped for second in a live 1k buy in at Foxwoods last year for 55k which really gave me some breathing room...small scores since then

Won the bad beat jackpot at local casino paying $4-8 Limit about 2 years ago, my quad eights (flopped it) beat by runner runner Quad Queens. Got half of $125kish jackpot. About $62K and change for me. That was pretty nice.
Followed it up about 8 months ago with another jackpot, playing $4-$20 Spread. This time I had the winning hand, Straight flush over lower straight flush. Jackpot was "only" at about $35k and I got a quarter of that, about $8.5k.
I've had two table shares as well, about $2500 combined. So, all told $70k+ in bonus cash. I never went crazy with the money, but did move up in stakes, playing more spread games ($2-$10 and $4-20) and honing my skills in that game which I'm a winning player at. Would have taken a while to make that jump otherwise. -
sigh. teach me. I lost with quad 55s at tampa hardrock a month before they introduced their original bad beat jackpot in which you had to lose with any quads or better. I just lost a 600 dollar stack 500 of it profit instead.

Honestly I have no huge score which spurred me forward. I started playing AP fun money after Moneymaker say 2k1 ish. I had fun doing that, had a roomate in my fraternity who enjoyed poker as well and he deposited and transferred some to me (to scared of security to deposit from my debit card). Crushed 10+1 sngs there for a couple years part time during college.
Made a stars $100 deposit 2 and a half years ago when I was working. Took to the 4/180s and did very well at them. Still haven't binked more than a 600 score but im up over 20k. Just like playing the game. I get frustrated when I lose though so thats why I dont move up, that and that whole scared thing.
