What if someone tells you they have AA?

    Ok, forget that it is obv againt the rules to tell the table what you are holding. The hand before, this player was dealt aces, but split the pot to someone else who was dealt aces. The very next hand I pick up 10's, and this same player announces to the table that they have aces again. I decided to move in bc I was going to have no clue how to play the hand post flop. Does anyone else move in hoping they are just pissed they split the previous pot? Lesson learned I guess.

    At 80+bbs, your stack is a bit deep to be getting it all in with tens under most circumstances. Deciding to move in cuz you have no idea how to play post flop is a scary thought. Why are you in this tourney then? Minimum you should do is set mine, but the push is over doing it.

    i have told a table live at paris i think.....that i have AA. I dont believe that is a rule infraction, didnt get called on me. I could be lieing, or what if i said i have a big pair, would that be a rule infraction?

    It is against TDA rules (if it was a tournement) to tell your hand. You can lie about your hand, but you can't tell the truth

    Holding AA pre-flop - would it be against the rules to say:

    1. I can't tell you that I have AA because that would be against the rules.
    2. I'm either ahead of you or we are tied.
    3. What are the odds of me getting dealt AA?

    so if u ever want to tell sumone u have aces for example lets say u have AA just say... i have a big hand...A of dimonds and the A of clubs

    Yeah, I realize it was bad. Them telling me they had AA just flustered me. And the fact they had AA the hand before just clouded my judgement even more. In no way was I advocating my play and obv I played it as bad as humany possible. Trust me, I relaize it was poor. Just an interesting situation that I hadn't been faced with before.
