I find I like to limp sb alot because of always getting restealed by bb when it folds around. I know it's probably optimal to raise or fold in this spot. I was wondering if anyone had ideas on ranges to raise sb to steal bb without much history on an opponent. I was wondering if anyone had holdem manager stats that back up success rate stealing in sb, what the proper raise amount should be and if called, is a Cbet almost always mandatory on dry boards? Thanks for helping this leak.

im raisin pretty much any 2 cards when folded round to me in the small blindsi think limping in sb when its folded to you is weak, and yes im c betting on dry boads

i agree with the above post. would like to add that it all depends on game flow, dynamics and the individual u'll be raising. whether he being lose or tight should make up ur opening ranges

I love when I'm in the BB and the SB is opening wide ranges when we are 30+ BB deep. SB is by far worst position to play post flop, and playing oop vs a competent player in the BB is going to be burning money most of the time when relatively deep, and without a hand that flops well.

raising too many hands from sb is a big leak imo. nobody folds in position anymore, and so many people float that its really tough to make money just raising and betting flops, plus if you do get reraised, you get blown off so many hands that are worth seeing flops with heads up, but not so much vs a reraise. probably better off limp/calling a raise with hands that flop well and flopping a concealed monster, or check raising flops that didnt hit the raiser. i dunno, whatever floats your boat i guess. but i find that the percentage of guys that resteal from the bb, or call and outplay you is so high that its not worth it to be stealing so much from the sb. i remember there was a time late in tourneys when you could just 2.5x or less from the sb and just constantly rape the bb with atc, but thats not really the case anymore. at least it doesnt seem that way
