  1. I agree with everything you have said. As a full time network administrator, while still taking classes, I can only play every so often...(Mainly thursday nights and saturday day.) I have no pressure on me b/c I don't play to pay bills. I honestly would never even think of going pro. I put my self in a position to make guaranteed money, and I know later on in life if I have a family, I would want more security.
  2. Sean, were you a bouncer at Denny's?

  3. "while at current job....
    Current Full Salary: 70K
    Salary in 2 Years: 100K
    Salary in 5 years: 150k"

-Damn, Where do I sign up for an employer that gives 20% raises each year!!
  4. Best of luck to you Roland.

I chose work over poker. Wasn't easy, but in my heart I felt I couldn't handle the swings or a long term losing streak. My ego and inability to accept defeat, even when taking a bath financially, swayed my decision to put stability...even if seemingly boring...first.
  5. Stay away from booze and the pit games at your local casino and you will be ahead of the pugs sitting across from me every day here in detroit
