Returning sites?
What about all the new sites?
I would, however, not start counting sites before they are hatched.
This bill has a mountain to climb, as there are some people who think gambling is bad. -
You're wasting your energy hoping any bill passes any time soon.

I guess I just don't really understand what principle you (and others, clearly) feel you'd be upholding by not playing there. They didn't "abandon" US players---they did what they had to do. None of the publicly traded companies stayed in the US market, and there's a reason for that. Business isn't personal; I'm sure they'd have stayed in the US market if they could have.

doggy I am happy to report that I think you are way off.
1 year from now the "Game of skill" exclusion will exist -
Ship,
I think every single old site, as well as a bunch of new sites, will offer their services in the US- the American market is too good to pass up, and besides, the customers, not the poker sites, will be responsible for paying taxes on deposits. -
Not saying really anything against the sites that left but more for loyalty to the sites that stayed.
-
Unfortunately "game of skill" has to be accepted by the entire country. I have seen posts on here about a California Legislature deeming poker as a game of skill, but no where in the United States Constitution is gambling addressed...thus it is a state issue unless Congress decideds to make it a national issue...so it's pretty sticky

I miss Pacific...

Come back cdpoker and pokerroom. If all sites come back this will be my preference of play
1 Bodog- only bc of the 16 dollar beginner sngs and humongous overlay and good freerolls
2 CDPoker- Jackpot sngs and good overlay
3 Pokerroom- juicy cash gamses and decent overlay
4 stars 180 man sngs
Those will probably be the sites i spend the most time at. -
Pokerroom = horrible
CDPoker = joke -
they all will
-
Man I lived on Pacific when I first started playing. They finally upgraded their shitty software so I could multi table a few months before doomsday. Would give my left arm to play on that site again.
-
I think yahoos real money poker, could become huge!!! If yahoo pushed it at all. Man I miss party though.

Polaris
The idea here is to tax the income earned by the sites. Americans already pay tax on their poker earnings.
Any new bill will impose a tax on the site just as brick and mortar casinos are taxed on their income.
