Hello all. I play all SNG's lower levels. I realize you don't get dealt a pocket pair every deal. So I was wondering what are some cards you guys like to play. I have been loosening up my play when I am on button recently with some sucess. How about suited gap's in late position?? Thanks for all your great input.

You can play hands like that if you know what you are looking to flop and when to lay them down. Also, you shouldn't be calling raises with them all the time (there are some occasions that call for it, for instance if you know the raiser has A-K and he won't fold post-flop).
If you play 7-5s on the button, the flop comes 4-7-Q rainbow, and somebody bets out, you have to fold. If it checks to you, you can obviously bet and be the aggressor, but what I see too many times is people playing suited connectors and then calling all the way down with middle pair, or even top pair, and it's the second best hand. I'm not one to advocate only playing pocket pairs and AK/AQ/AJ, but know what you are looking for with suited connectors and don't get too attached to them. Pair and straight draw, pair and flush draw, straight and flush draw, two pair, are all good flops that can be played further.
The only hands you have to stay away from are hands like 9-6 or 10-7. Anything more than one gap and you are risking flopping a straight that is not going to be the nuts. -
Calling raises with suited connectors requires plenty of skill . I call this the value bluff call which means it shouldn't be part of your default play but occasionally you can bluff call with this hand while you're representing a stronger hand to your opponent . Now on the flop , if you have a tight image , you can go over the top of your opponents continuation bet regardless of whether or not the flop hit you .

7,9 sooted seems to always come through for some strange reason.
I seen to do well with J,9s as well.
it's all about being able to let it go after the flop, and knowing when your tp or 2nd pr is good and when it's not.
