Since there is pretty much only betting patterns to use online as tells. I have found that the best betting pattern tell is when people bet the EXACT amount to put someone all-in, rather than just betting the max they have. For example:
Blinds 150/300
Player 1: 3500
Player 2: 1900
Player 3: 5600
Player 4: 1000
Player 1 makes it 750 to go from the cutoff, Player 2 folds from the button, Player 3 calls from the SB and Player 4 folds from the BB. Player 1 and Player 3 go to the flop. The pot has 1800.
Flop: Ah Jd 4c
Player 3 bets 2750, betting the EXACT amount Player 1 has left. Player 1 folds.
I find that when a player bets the exact amount their opponent has left, like Player 3 did in this example, they are much stronger than when they bet all their chips, say like the 4850 Player 3 had left. Does anyone else ever notice this? I had someone mention this to me about 9 months ago and ever since then it has saved me alot of $ and it seems to be pretty damn accurate. -
Yes and I use it when I bluff a shorter stack.

Interesting discussion, we were talking about this yesterday.
Two levels of thought, for newer more inexperienced players, this is generally a "Go away bet"
bluff... but tough to call.
example I had this week, in a mini 2 on partypoker. blinds 30/60, had QQ, raised to 200.
two callers. Flop K, 7, 4. I have 1850 chips left, big stack puts me in for 1850. I think for 20
seconds, its a mini 2.. i call. Other dude folds, Big stack has AQ.. I win.
More experienced players realize this is a learner trick for "Go away" and use that to advantage.
If the big stack had AK, or KK, or two pair, he would put me all in, so I think its a go away bet.
In fact it is, its a go away from the table and dont be so dumb, bet.
