I had moved in probably 6 straight hands. There are 2 stacks in hang on mode and the 2nd place stack is in the BB. So, obviously, I move in again, but the 2nd place stack insta calls. I see plenty of awful bubble plays, but this one just made me laugh, especially since it was an insta call.

What a terrible terrible post.
>>BAD BEATS -
ok sir
-
How is this a bad beat? He had me dominated.
-
Hey UCLA at these stakes your probally the only one at the table that understands ICM. To him its a great call. But with the stacks at the table is a def -ev call.
-
Yeah 'should' be an easy fold keyword being should. He should be autofolding AKs here and prob a few better hands
-
I don't really know much about ICM either. I just know he can't call with the two small stacks ready to bust out.
-
What a terrible terrible post.
>>BAD BEATS
Yeah, especially because it was an insta-post. -
I realize that most of the players aren't going to understand how to play a SNG bubble, but I just thought this example was exceptionally bad. I could post other awful bubble plays from today, but none are as bad as this one.
-
um... ok
-
Ok I just did the ICM math and he needs KK or AA to make this +$ev even with you shoving any two cards.
lol so yea J10 is a tad behind the suggested range -
worthless post
u said you had mved in how many str8 hands.. there was a very good chance u had 6 high or so.. why cant he call this?
this post doesnt reach the forums if u wouldve held.. lmao -
if was me, i call you. you move in everyhand and we are not playing for 100$ but 6.50$ sit 'n'go, if you wantt o win, you need a call. if you lose it's only 6.50$ nothing more. he was going to take position against you when 2 other guy bust, if he fold everyhand, you will be at 12000 and he will be at 1500, he look for the win. good call!!! depending of the bankroll but i think 6.50$ is nothing to go bankrupt!
Serge -
it was obviously a good call.... i mean he won didn't he?????
-
The buy in doesnt matter and the math dictates only calling with the very few top hands. If you are calling with even Ace King here, you have a lot to learn about turbos....
-
I hope to be in many turbos with people who say they would call because I had been moving in every hand. Like ill flu said, the buyin should never matter. You should play correctly, or as well as you can, whenever you play poker.
-
You can learn a bit about SNG bubbles from this post, so I don't think it is worthless. I also guarentee I would post this call if my hand held.
And I hope you are joking when you say "why can't he call?" -
I havent stopped laughing.....ROFL...u seem like a clown so had 2 cards I CALL!
-
um.......wow. i can't believe anyone who compulsively shoves all in, and does it with cards like 10 3, is outraged when someone finally looks him up, even if he dares to look him up with a j 10. get over yourself.
-
Same with me. This ICM bullshit has turned a lot of idiots into big fat dumb idiots. I hate how people think that once they know something, everyone who doesn't know it is retarded.
I mean, in this case, the guy called with the best hand! What's so terrible about that? -
you guys are missing the points...this is purely a sng bubble hand
1) JT is not favored over someone pushing any 2 cards
2) the two short stacks have 1 bb left
3) the JT guy can fold to 2nd place
4) if he busts there he gets $0
5) doubling up there does not improve his chances of winning by that much,
this isn't really even an ICM hand, it's a common sense hand, like why pass up guaranteed money to double up and still not have the chip lead -

lol I bet you are one of those people who go to all of the blue collar comedy tour stops. -
Anyone who doesn't understand why this is a bad call is an idiot and needs to learn SnG theory.
Anyone who doesn't understand why this is a bad call needs to search this forum for posts relating to ICM. I'm not going to explain why this is a bad call in this post. Do yourself a favor and search for them. -
I'd have to agree a call with a hand beat by 56% of the starting hands around is imo terrible let alon the icm stuff.. Its an obv fold.. Fold to the money then outplay UCLA headsup.. no need to do it sooner with the massive risk of bubbling. UCLA is allowed to shove every hand with the insummountable chip lead.
My only question is who ended up winning this sng.. That is the key question... -
this is a bad call obviously, but at this level you shouldn't be doing this, because you'll find too many players that don't get the concept or don't care. you might test the waters or maybe you could tell from the rest of the sng if it will work on them or not. obv at the 55 level it will work most or all the time and he will instafold his qq
-
I dont believe who ended up winning this one sng...i believe the key question is who wins more often?I dont know how good the original poster is but im sure he must win more often then the moron who called with jack ten.
-
I won the SNG, but that isn't really relevant since it is a sample size of 1. In the long run it is a bad call and it's not even a close decision.
-
if anyone took my post seriously i apologize for you being too rock stupid and not being able to notice the sarcastic nature of my post.
