  1. During the $109+rb/ao last evening(Feb 12) THE_D_RY made a play I still don't get. While at the final table the UTG player to the left of THE_D_RY pushed with approx 60k and was followed by a reraise which represented about 40% the THE_D_RY's stack. He chose to call with AKo. Predicably the UTG had a pocket pair and the 2nd player into the pot also held AK. The pocket 55's held up and THE_D_RY went on to finish 8th. Why make that call? A previous read on the 2nd player in the pot?
  2. dry will make a bad decision when hell freezes over

  3. probably had some pretty nice odds and 40% of ur stack is enough so where u can bounce back if you happen to be wrong. What if both had pocket pairs below kings, then hes definately in a good spot to win a ton of chips. Maybe they both have an ace and hes a chop at worst who knows... ive seen way worse tho.

  5. I remember DoubleLucky making a call like this at a FT a couple years ago, and his words still ring true to this day: "It is rarely incorrect to fold AK".

  6. I dont understand the question.

You're asking why D__RY called an all in of less than his stack with AK?
