Pretty hard to get away from AK with 17bbs but... what does big stack open shove with here? he hasn't spazzed out since i've been at table for 80+ hands. is this a 4sure call every time also?

Reason: 17bb effective shove -
His shoving range most likely consists of AK/AQ and pairs you're flipping against. Doubtful that he shows up with KK or AA there, but I suppose it's possible. With the dead money from the blinds and antes I say call and win the race against his JJ.

since its only 17bbs effective , ill give a safe range of 88+ AJ+ KQ, could be alot wider A10 77 etc, not sure in this buyin mtt how much wider they shove for 17bbs and this exact player, and yes im always snap callin here with AK even against the tight range i gave ur way ahead of it

22-88 A2s-AJs, A8-AJo, KQ, KJ, QJ maybe some suited connectors. Note, never AK, never QQ+. If you fold AK here, boy I just don't know.

Thanks for the replies, i guess i give villain too much credit for a big hand in these spots.
