Marky has played a few hands but not like a total maniac or anything

  2. Call, then proceed with caution.
  3. Really tough spot with absolutely no quality information on markypoo. My initial reaction was to shove although I'm afraid it might not be correct without any knowledge of markypoo.

I'm not a huge fan of calling as you almost certainly don't have setmine value and I can't see an advantage to just calling rather than shoving if you feel markypoo is overcalling a range that he would fold to your shove with.

Against a loooooot of random idiot donks that overcall here with too many hands and isolate with their huge hands this is obviously a turboshove, however with absolutely no information the risk of your 50k+ stack is probably not worth it, and may be a fold =/
  4. hahaha im the worst with giving good info, altho he had chips he seemed on the tighter side to me, i didnt think he was coldcalling with a weak hand but i wasnt really sure, goin to sleep will post the result of the hand tomorrow

  5. "Marky has played a few hands but not like a total maniac or anything"

    Very key statement.

He has ethier AA KK QQ JJ
I would fold , You should always be leary of a player that calls 2 raises.
  6. i would call 6k into pot of 25k still leaving yourself with 45k and try and check it down if you dont hit your set.

you still in pretty decent shape with regards the rest of the table and if you do hit and he has the overpair you could get most of his chips as well
  7. Agree with SCT.
  8. I think he has AK and doesnt want to play a big pot with it. You have position, I would flat call and fold if Marky bets at any flop. If overcards hit, I would check it down or fold to a bet. I think you are giving up way too much value here by folding since you are getting 3/1 on your money and its only 10% of your stack

  9. sct is right but considering its a late night 109 freeze i ship here almost every time.

  10. I have no idea, since he's in BB I guess I shove? lol

Would calling and then leading good flops for us be horrible?

  11. I didnt really want to call 7k more not knowing where I was in the hand and only being sure I have the best hand when a 10 comes so I felt it was a raise or fold and I didn't want to risk my whole stack without being more sure that I was ahead so I made the safe play and folded, he ended up having 2 jacks so who knows maybe a shove would have worked but I really had no way of knowing at the time...

  12. I'm leaning toward RR, but it's a tough spot. You were the original raiser, so keep that in mind. You got raised pushed, but you are getting good odds to play the pot. If you RR again, I don't think Marky can call you with anything but AA KK, or maybe QQ. He's not a maniac, so he probably wouldn''t overplay JJ to three raises.

Now think about if Marky did, in fact, have AA, KK or QQ. With KK or QQ, I would think he would definitely RR (especially out of position!) because he wouldn't want to give you a chance of you hitting an ace (or having an ace come out, costing him money) for those good odds. With AA, he may just flat call, but I would think he would RR out of position with that too. Either way, there's only one likely hand that beats you that he would call a reraise with that he would play the way he played the hand.

  13. JBURL plays verrry good, nice fold I would've shoved prolly lol
  14. with AK or QQ he would probably reraise, and id say with KK not always but a good portion of the time he would reraise, you make a good point for sure

  15. Is that a good shove by golf considering he has no FE and lots of players behind? Seems pretty terrible to me.
  16. gf. thats one of those spots that gets you cursing
  17. Oh, his shove was horrible

  18. Too spewy? I like a slightly larger raise preflop.
  19. I know it's just my pet peeve, but I'd move this thread to Hand Advice.

(and I do realize that my ass is about to be kicked off the site, as the admins are very touchy about this issue.)

    And FWIW, I'm folding.
