somebody give me some advice...

This is my thinking.... (irrelevent of what you did)
really depends on the circumstances and players involved, but with a tight image at this table, push on flop for sure.... you have flopped top pair with a moderate kicker and considering the shortstacks position of all in, you probably have him beat (he most likely cant afford to wait for QQ, KK, AA to go all in). this only leaves the two other guys to worry about... there is a range of hands they could be on will the small preflop call, you could ponder these all day (AJ being the most likely threatening one, or perhaps a small pp set... either way you should hopefully find out quickly where you stand, i would like to find out by throwing a sizeable bet out there and without knowing their hands, would hope for them to fold here.... If they call, I would slow down and check/fold to the river, unless you get a read on them from the flop call and it appears they missed a draw. If raised, fold and learn about his play from the cards shown at the end...
If it happens that your image is loose, OR you are playing with donkeys, checkfold from flop onwards, hope to hit set or two pair.
In regard to your play....
I would have played the hand very similarly to the way you did... if you have the confidence and the circumstances fit, push maybe 3000-4000 on the flop rather than 1200. DD will most likely fold in this situation with KQ (unless he is a donk, which he may be, i dont know... what was your take on him?), my guess also is that fallan was perhaps playing Ace-rag or low pp in which case he probably would have folded to a raise of 3000-4000 on the flop also. considering you didnt push as hard and bet 1200, from here on in i would have played the hand exactly as you did. -
Sucks being out of position with a mediocre hand don't it?
Good bluff by him on the end, you have to give him credit.
The pot was 5840 on the flop. What were you hoping to accomplish with a 1200 bet? Much too small to do anything. You are going to get called by anyone that has about anything at all. If you are going to fire here, you should come out stronger. If you get called then you slow down and hope to check it down - you are behind way too many hands that would call you. -
Insta-fold, what is the big question here? You have a crappy hand why are you completing with it?
Save your chips so you can use them later to put pressure on people. This is a really crappy hand and this is what happens when you play a crappy hand -
Checking on the river after two bets looks like a missed draw (or a weak pair since you shouldn't be semi-bluffing a dry side pot). Keep up your betting, and DD can't raise you on the river there.

A set is when you have a pocket pair and hit another on the board , trips is when the board pairs which makes three of a kind with one of your hole cards. So you mean trips!! not a set!
-
Huh? Trips and set are both synonymous for 3 of a kind (however its formed) in my mind. Maybe other people think of it as you do but I have never heard it.
This is the first time i've heard anyone distinguished set vs trips as to how they were made. -
Bet a lot more on that flop.
-
right.... trips... set.... SAME thing. oh the website, woops, so thats the correct definitions.... good to know... trips and sets are still the same thing really.
