I called...but I'm not sure if it was the best decision. BTW, I'm not being results oriented, I won the hand. But was it a questionable call this early? The raiser had only played a few hands.

I smell a rat. AA/KK most likely, with AK coming in third, imo. If the raiser had only played a few hands, do you mean he had just moved to the table or was very tight? At this level, at this buy-in, guys will push early with lots of things, to be sure. But if I had no real reads as to what he would push with, I would lean towards folding unless you think AK and NOT AA/KK. Tough to fold, for sure, but if your gut tells you to because of your reads, then muck.
-
i think you are ahead. if he had AA or KK or even QQ. i dont see the all in push from you opponent with you only investing 110 so far i believe a reraise to 400-500 ish just to get some action.i put your opponent on A7 to A10 or any suited ace. the pot odds werent too good for you to call but i would make it. early in the tourney in a higher buyin i think its a fold but unfortunately people dont have too much value or thought in lower limits. i think you were right to call you had the 4th best hand at a 6 handed table. imo considering the circumstances ot was an instacall

Insta call all day. Even if you're up against AA, KK, QQ you have very little time or money invested so going out wouldn't be the end of the world. At this level you'll be ahead more then your behind. Double up and move onto the next hand.
-
we'll If I'm blanqui I'm not making it a reraise to 250-300 with AQ, AK only to fold to shove, nor do I want to get flatted, because your post flop decision will be basically be allin/fold, so it's better to move that decision foward preflop.
So his range is probably big Aces, and maybe 88-JJ or even QQ, I see KK or AA playing it a little slower trying to get some money in the pot. -
In this kind of tournament his range would be through the roof. Could have been a low PP but I wouldn't even put him on that. You made a standard button raise so it is possible that he thought you were trying to steal so he jammed it up trying to steal back. Would like to find out what he did have though I'm guessing K8 or some kind of connectors

There is a huge range here. However, at the $5 game (which I found similar to $2 game when I played it), people play AA and KK like this, either trying to scare out other players (scared to get sucked out on) or as a hidden play (no one plays AA like this, so I'll call, crap, it's AA).
But, all the same, I see 33 make this move (I don't do it, but I've seen it).
So, it's a huge range. I think your ahead of a lot of it, and you need to hit some hands along the way, so I think I call here, and if I lose, oh well, part of the game.
So, I like the call. What did he have? -
fist pump callllllllllllllllll

I'd call, because I can't see him pushing with QQ+. It's true that a few do, but not most players, regardless of entry fee. It looks like AJs-AK, pocket pair, so I think you're ahead of his range and at worst it's a toss-up. If you lose, you're only out $2.20, no biggie. I agree with the other poster, however, that if this was a big entry fee, I would not call with this hand so early in the tourney.

never fold JJ in this spot. too many bad players shove complete garbage at this level, and doubling up helps you against that innevitable bad beat ;o
-
If it was a full table, I would definitely consider folding. If I had any kind of a read to suggest that he is relatively tight, or at least not particularly aggressive, I would fold at a full table. But six handed, at this low a buy-in, I think his range is broad enough that you can call here.
