Just curious....with stack sizes, if you were in his position, what is your calling range? -
all depends on what his image of you is and ur recent actions
-
depends on table dynamics, but im prob callin 55+, AK/AQ/AJ.
thing to remember though is a good player like bigegypt is RARELY folding to your <20bb shove...
if i dont have 55+, AK/AQ/AJ im probably not raising. -
If you were showing down strong hands and had a credible TAG image, then if I'm him I'm only calling your AI with QQ KK AA and most likely AKs, would probably not want to coin flip there with 1010 or JJ considering his chip position was extremely favourable even if folding.
-
that is definitely a -EV range imo... i mean...... you gotta figure guy's shoving 180 his range is probably A9+ 22+ maybe even like KT KJ...etc.....b/c of the shorty stackin juicying the pot...so i mean i'd say a good calling range is AJ+ probbly 66+ he could even afford to call with AT and any pair.... but i think optimal calling range would be AJ+ and 66+

you could be right croggs but if I'm the chip leader (and still would be if I fold to the all-in) then I don't see a massive need to call the all-in with a weak Ace or low-mid pocket pair when I could be a significant dog. if he calls and loses and doubles up our hero, then he's lost almost half his stack.

right, but ur range is still too tight
