    Marked Cards Turn Up Again
This time there are marked cards at John Hennigan's table as he pointed out a bent Ace of spades. Doyle Brunson and Scott Fischman both voiced their concerns that the table needed new cards and the situation was "terrible." Fischman commented on the situation that "All the cards are marked."

    More Marked Cards
MaxPescatori and David Grey found more marked cards at their table, againon Andy Bloch's table. Bloch called the floor manager over again toresolve the problem and there was a discussion as to whether the tableeven got new cards like they'd asked for. Every other table got a newsetup of cards taken out of the original plastic after the firstdispute, but Bloch's table apparently didn't and got marked cardsagain. How ironic.

Annie Duke Not Given A Timeout
Annie Duke just found a marked 5 card on table 149. She proceeded tobend the corner and ask for a new setup. After hearing that Andy Blochwas given a penalty for it, she expressed her concern for howridiculous it was to punish someone who had not dropped the F-bomb. She believes that the player has a right to take those marked cards outof play, otherwise the casino would just recycle them back into play.

Andy Bloch Takes a Time Out
After spotting a marked card, Andy Bloch makes the dealer fan out the deck inan effort expose any more possibly marked cards. Bloch then proceeds togo through the deck and bend all of the cards he believes to be marked. The floorman tells Andy, "Don't you dare do that again." Andy stands upin protest and gives the floor man a lashing for allowing a used deckto begin play in the H.O.R.S.E. event. The floorman warns Andy that ifhe doesn't calm down or if he bends anymore cards, Andy will be given a10 minute penalty. Andy then tells the floor man, "Go ahead, give me apenalty..." He then says that he should call the gaming commissionabout the matter. After expressing his concern, Andy wallks away fromthe table and takes his punishment.

  3. copags (plastic cards) seem to mark easily. usually accidently especially in stud when players squeeze the river card. usually just a nail indent in side of deck, very hard to see.
  4. do any casinos actually use copaq? I didnt see anyone in vegas who used them except at the wsop.
  5. I just left Vegas the day the HORSE event started. I didn't know any of this happened. But coincidently when I was playin at the RIO the whole week I was there, i noticed that just about every card in all the decks were marked in one way or the other. Mostly oppostie corners where the players bend the cards back. I did notice this on a lot of them. But I thought that they started each event with brand new setups. At least I think they should.
  6. I saw an add that copag was the official card of the WSOP this year
  7. If htey did in fact put a previously used deck into play at hte HORSE event then Andy had every right to be pissed. If you pay $50k to be in an event I would think you could at least expect some brand spanking new cards. Hell I would be mad if I didn't get a gift bag and a comped hotel room.
  8. instead of bending the cards like andy did, he should have just ripped one in half, automatic new deck.

It is sad in a 50K event they are using recycled card.

30 buy-in at my local casino uses new decks every tourney.
  9. the decks suck, kem cards are WAAAAY the best, they use some cheapy corpog (i know it's spelled different) brand. literally every other card i look at, has a thumbnail blemmish or some kind of marking.

  10. brand new decks dont insure against unmarked cards. for years we used kem cards in the clubs in victoria and vancouver. we would constantly find small printing flaws in the patterns.

add to this the fact that when cards are found to be flawed they are removed and replaced by a card from another deck (used as spare cards because it had a marked card removed) and now very often u have a card with a slightly wider or narrower margin in the deck.

  12. I am only responding to your post scareface because I work for US Playing Card Company, whom owns and manufactures both Copag and Kem cards. Since I work for them I can tell you that they come from the same company and are made the exact same way there is hardly a difference between the two, the reason why there is such a price difference between the two is becuase one is made in Brasil and the other in the US that is it.
  13. Straight from the HORSE's mouth.
  14. pwned!!

  15. i havent played live much in the last year or so, but unless kem changed the way they are made, they are different, they mark easier. it might just be showing up at the wsop because they use white cards, and i guess dents and imperfections show up easier on white. they still suck though
