  1. Mine is so obvious to me yet I seem to ignore it. I play a terrible way way too aggressive short stack. I find myself looking for almost any reason to get my chips in the middle instead of being patient and only shoving what look to be +EV spots. Im gonna try really hard to work on this in the next few months.

  2. my biggest leak is winning
  3. I could help you with this Ship as this is the best part of my game...

I honestly think at this point I have no leaks, but that could change, as this game always is...

  4. Good maybe you can help me out too Waco since no other big name player on here responds to my private messages because they are too important =D
  5. i start trying to steal blinds every other hand cause I play too many sngs,
  6. Registering
  7. I think I play way too straight forward, just like SNGs. I make very few moves and play my hands very straight forward and end up making the money in what seems like 30% of tournaments which I think is correct according to OPR, but always find myelf short stacked. This isn't really a problem because I wait to get it in good and when I do I double up to a healthy stack and usually play strong through the last few levels. But still, I'd like to get the money with a good stack so then I can continue accumulating without worrying about commiting myself with a simple raise. I do like my strategy because I rarely get tossed in the first 50%-75% of the tourney, but I am usually at the bottom 25% of chip stacks when it starts to wind down. Any suggestions?
  8. Mine is clearly post-flop play when I was the pre-flop raiser and someone smooth-called me in position. I dump so many chips in this situation its gross. It seems that continuation bets when I've missed the flop are a thing of the past and I seem to get re-popped a majority of times. If I check the flop, it's basically telling the other player that It's "yours for the taking." I know the key is mixing up my play so they never know if checking is weak or strong but I definitely lose a lot of chips in this fashion.

I played with FieryJustice in a WSOP $2K for a couple of hours and he was relentless post-flop. I think this clearly separates the great from the good players. It seemed like he (and others) just rely on the fact that most players miss the flop completely over 50% of the time.

Lol at WACO saying he has no leaks.....not lol cuz he's wrong but lol cuz he's fuckin right. Arrgghhh!!!

  9. Cold calling too many preflop raises with weak hands when I have a big stack, and not bluffing enough in general. I'm very good at getting paid off by weak hands, but have lost my touch at bluffing lately.

Anyone who's noticed any other leaks, I'd be glad to hear it.
  10. ^^^ lolz i was gonna say signing in........
  11. deepstack HU when mtts end late at night. my patience is gone at that point.
  12. Running well.

No but seriously probably tilting/playing impulsively without thinking.

Either that or lack of creativity. I have a hard time accumulating chips without the best hand.
  13. staying patient during short handed play

I make waaay too many plays

  14. I am the exact opposite as you Ship. I am the best short stack player alive but if you give me any chips I will spew them.
  15. My biggest leak is finding the leak....oh there you are....
  16. The final table bubble. 10th is so painful. Even with a comfortable stack, I always seem to have the urge to throw them away.

  17. Finishing 10th is my specialty
  18. fancy play syndrome. Thinking I can make the other idiot fold when he never will.....

  19. being a calling station

  20. It used to be that I was too aggressive and would 3-bet/squeeze way too much. As the games have gotten more aggressive, I've tightened up considerably and don't do this usually w/o a big hand. It doesn't help that the new fad these days are 4-bets all-in (call it the Andy McLeod era). So I guess my biggest leak these days may be lack of pre-flop aggression.

  21. Im down to get any help I can. I mean im sure i play a better then avg short stack game and its prolly mostly just a lack of disclipline. I just love having a big stack and being able to open my game up...I think I overvalue getting a big stack and take too many risks trying to get one. Who knows tho maybe not.

  22. My leak is reading players and adjusting to them (caused by multitabling..).
  23. Finnally making a final table that can boost my bankroll 100-500% plus and then going out in 9th...instead of being happy with 6th place plus...I go for the prize and lose the flip or get sucked out putting so much pressure on players I think "are tightening up."

  24. Closing out the win. I cannot for the life of me win a NLHE mtt on stars. Have several final tables in last 6-8 months but no nlhe wins. Got a PLO tourn win on stars and several nlhe wins on paradise couple years ago when I played there. WTF. Have a 7th and 3rd in last two days but cannot close the deal.

I am really working on improving my deep tournament game and closing out the win which is my biggest leak.

  25. Not listening to myself
  26. Thinking you have no leaks might be the only leak you have.
  27. so profound...

I'm just being honest man... I'm pretty much playing perfect MTT poker at the moment

  28. A- Not always taking enough time to make a decision.

B- Changing gears back to tight. I have no problem going from TAG to LAG, but turning off the aggression is a little tougher for me. I should start to get a feel for when I'm about to get played back at, and wait for a hand, but I never slow down until AFTER I've had a few open raises re-stolen from me.

C- Taking bad beats, that are a result of a terrible play by the guy that gets my chips, I get very angry.
  29. Not saying you have ANY apparent leaks whatsoever.

I am saying if there is any room for improvement, which there almost certainly is, it might be hard to come by with the mindset that you don't have any leaks, or couldn't be even better.

You can always get better, as scary as that will be for the poker world.

Maybe you could get better at picking up physical tells, giving out false tells, or something else associated with live poker, that you'll be even better at with a few more years of live play? Maybe putting people on an even more narrow range than you do already?
  30. trying to make the great call when i should be making the smart laydown
