Villain seemed somewhat loose opening quite a few pots since I have sat down....
  2. i think its cloose depends on opponant, how your feeling about the tourny.
    vs. tight player fold
    vs. avg fold > call
    vs. loose shove > call

  3. After first reading this hand - my first thought is to ship it in. However, it's sooo hard to play against a UTG raise - no matter what the image. We're so trained to think strength.

The flat in position is good too, but if you see an over card are you running away?

I think the re-raise is a little spewey if you plan to "see where you are" and then fold...Also, a fold seems too nitty...

This is definitely a TOUGH spot. I'm surprised there hasn't been more discussion about this spot in tournaments.

I'm sure some think it's an insta ship, but i'm not too sure. You're about 25 bb deep on the button, facing a UTG raise.

  4. agree with suavs, first thought was shove, and if raiser was in mp or lp i would( read dependant).

With ppl behind shoving or folding seem ok, this is a tricky spot is flatting really bad if you plan to shove any flop without an A or K idk?
  5. If he is the type of player that will always c-bet then your only options are shove and fold.

If he is capable of checking the flop when he misses then I would call and try and take away the pot if he checks the flop.

Best read of all though would be to know if he raises his pocket pairs from early position or just limps. If you can include a bunch of underpairs in his range I think shoving is best since he will probably call with 66+, AK and you can get him to shove other over cards.

Without any reads I think its a reluctant shove since its the best of all the shitty options you have. Folding isn't much worse here but just calling with no reads on the raiser is the worst of all options as you are almost always gonna have to fold to a c-bet on the flop.
  6. If hes been opening alot and has been loose like you said then ship it in.
  7. I also find it difficult to always accurately depict what is most opitmal in situations like this. Sure, Villain could be a maniac, but is he not allowed to pick up JJ+ here UTG and make it standard 3 times?

The more I think about this hand, as gross as it sounds - I either Snap Shove, or Fold. Everything in between requires alot of 'guess' work - even if you he does or doesn't c/bet any flop.

With a 22-25bb stack, facing an EP raise - what's the range for a re-ship?

  8. That's what I wa thinking exactly...the only other thing that I noticed is this very was very spewy on the flop...meaning he would bet pot with mid pair, or bet pot with air...

Is flatting his preflop raise then shoving any flop without an A or K a horrible line to take?
