$15+1 9-man turbo SNG on Pokerstars, 8 players remaining. Prizes are 67.50/40.50/27.00
I had a disagreement with a friend about this hand, and I want your opinion. The disagreement wasn't about how to play the hand, but rather about how most people would play it.

What I would like to know from you is:
A. How would you play this hand?
B. How would you expect a random player to play this hand?
Have fun!
*EDIT* The disagreement has been resolved. Feel free to give your opinions anyway, and for my take on this hand/results of disagreement, see page 3 of this thread -
Jen,
Is this a turbo or non turbo sng? -
i shove 100% of the time!
-
It would depend on what I anticipated the BB's calling range to be. If he was a tight player all the way to a normal player, I would shove with no thought. If he was on the looser side and like to make weak calls in the BB, I fold.
I would bet the vast majority of $16 turbo SnG grinders now would shove here 80-90% of the time. -
A. Push or fold depending on the table dinamic. Pushing more then folding though.
B. Random players would limp 50%, fold 25% and raise to 3 bb's 25%. -
Most players shove here. I do not know anyone that wouldn't shove a suited K with 12 bb.
-
With 12.5 BB in that position i'm shoving.
At the $2-$12 buy in level I play, I would see a lot of players fold that, or raise 2x and then fold to a reraise. -
A) fold
B) flat or 3x
Really depends on how the table is playing -
Id give him a walk most times.
-
me - im raising this to 250 like 85% of the time folding 15% depending on BB
random - id say they fold about 45% limp 45% raise 10% -
shove. And I don't think it matters if it's a turbo or not. i'm no sng player but the shove seems standard. I think graps answered part b
I think the only way wouldn't shove this is if I knew the player was not a restealer and folded too much. Then I might mix in 2-3x, but in a trubo I suspect that is probably not optimal. -
I actually tend to fold here more often. I would be semi curious to know how much I'm giving up by folding.
A random would generally limp. If bb raises, then I would imagine they would generally fold but who knows. I'm using the word "generally" very loosely. -
Think i'm folding this a lot of the time... there's still 8 players left, and although the blinds are fairly high, i just don't see the value in shoving here tbh.
I think most people will flat here and fold to a raise, or raise to 250-300 looking to take it down there. If raised, they'll be forced to call, and if their raise is just flat called they'd prolly just shove any flop. -
1. limp 70% shove 30% (and im a decent turbo player)
2. they would prob limp
Looking at the fact that we have 12 big blinds makes it a shove, but if you look at ur M (which is 1250/150 = a little more than 8) makes it not a super standard shove (tho im still shoving some of the time)
Another thing to factor in is how long the current level will stay at what it is (if theres like 1 min left u shove everytime but if it just changed to this level i am more likely to limp) -
I'm folding here... the fact that everyone folded their cards makes it more likely that the villian has a bigger hand. I don't think its worth risking your tournament for 1bb.
-
I'm all-in.
-
Its true! If you ever play straws, where someone has to get the big straw... if you see a bunch of people with small straws and you have 2 straws left to pick, the likelihood of you getting the big straw is much better.
Maybe I'm just stupid :<
I didn't include the part that says "K3 sucks" but I figured that was irrelevant at the time :> -
A- Raise or Call mostly calling here due to my stack. will depend on my image and villains play B-random will call this everytime
-
a.
i'm probably folding this majority of the time. especially if the villian is The_Venetian. the rest of the time i will limp if the player is shown to be weak. it's a little much to be shoving for 150 at this point, and i haaaate 2.5-4xing here because you're probably going to get shoved on a whole lot...then what?
b. i think a random will limp and fold to any pressure, or 3x and fold to shove. -
A) I just fold...too much to shove and I like other players to think I'm willing to walk without a hand and use that to my advantage later when I need to steal
B) Random player...jeeeeeeeez...I'd say they are most likely limping here followed close by either a std or minraise, next they fold, then they shove.
