Is this just some mathematical formula to figure out a decent sample size or is this just what the online community views as a decent sample size? Yes, I've been in those classes where the more the better, but like for mtts I've heard 5k, now 90 mans 2-3k...jw where these numbers came from?

For MTT's, 50k is pretty good. There is a formula although I didn't use one to calculate those numbers. I just said 2000-3000 is ok, but not comp accurate.

  6. Im guessing you ment 5k Frank ;)

No that was not a typo. People just don't understand the variance of MTT's. Even 50k isn't a good sample really because you will be many times better at tournament # 50,000 compared to tournament #1 so your ROI still just won't be accurate.
