Who played this worse? I'm thinking he did, even though he was ahead till the river. Wow.
- button steal attempt, fold on flop easily unless i hit something
- hit pair, bet trying to represent high pair or TP
- put frank on draw or midpair, REALLY thought I could get him to fold. figured I could at least rep AQ
- wow he called turn, going to shut down on the river unless I hit
- 2pair.. hmm better value bet
- 65cc LOL

Why the hell are you trying to steal at the 10/20 level?
-
Good question. I never do, that's why. Just trying some new things. Usually tight as hell during 1st hour, and well, I haven't been winning.
Also, seems like this type of thing usually "comes back to bite ya" or some shit.
5 hands later, got all-in on a 883 flop. I had 33, he had 55. River 5. Hello Shortstack. Coming back slowly though -
The reason you haven't been winning CERTAINLY isn't because you don't steal during the 10/20 level. Whats the point? You either win a super small pot and ruin your rep for later on in the tourney where blinds will actually mean something, or you will continuation bet the flop, bluff the turn, and bluff the river to lose a big pot. Very very rarely you will flop a hand and get someone to pay you off, and very very rarely you will bluff all the way down and catch a miracle river, as happened here. This will def lose you money over the long run. You played the hand worse.

"This will def lose you money over the long run."
Agreed. TY for post
Again I've rarely if ever done this, and the times I have, were later in SNG/MTT where the pot was worth stealing from weak limpers. Definitely agree this is a losing play especially in lower buyin tourneys where you would more often get called down by 65.
