Who still plays multiple sites, and who plays mostly on one?

    I know most of the full time MTT players play at several sites, but I'm curious if overall more people have migrated to playing in one place.

    I'm not the best example since I only play a few times a week, but I have migrated to playing 99% on stars. I just like their tournament schedule as they have several that fit the profile of what I am looking for in a MTT.

    When I first started playing online years ago I played exclusively at UB until I found out about other sites. Then when they went into the tailspin nosedive, I played almost everywhere but there. Now, I play just about only Stars, except for an occasional UB tournament. It's been forever that I played at Bodog, and I play so porrly at Full Tilt it's like a self fullfilling prophecy.

    Is it possible to not like a site so you almost sabotage your own game? I seem to focus more at Stars when I play and I tend to gamble it up recklessly at UB and Full Tilt.

    I was just wondering if others get "comfortable" playing at one site. I did play the Absolute poker 1K last night, and made a run only to bust out with the best of it, but the play seemed poor enough that I will probably be back.

    I play on stars, Bodog, and Tilt. Most of my MTT play is on Stars and Bodog and a little on Tilt because I cannot win there.

    hey brs

    what u say about getting comfortable at one site is sooo true. I try to play in as many sites as possible, especially when i m not in the US and play at the european sites. However, stars was always my main focus. I ve pushed myself hard to focus on FTP and now i am loving FTP even more than stars, even though if i start playing two equal status tourney my main focus would unexplainedly be on the one on stars

    Yep I play a ton it it is almost all on stars. T$ are the biggest reason and the only other site that I am half way comfortaboe with is FTP and there are no T$ there. I have done half way good on Bodog but I just can't stand their SW.

    Comfort has alot to do with it and I play the same turneys at Stars everynight.

    For the low limit guys out there.

    The $ 10 - 30 dollar buy ins on Full Tilt are much easier than the ones on pokerstars.

    I find them even more crazy than the ones at Bodog.

    Although i am not a huge Full Tilt fan, the mtts seem to have gotton much looser in the last 6 months with many people migrating there.

    I'm just now starting to come back after 4 or 5 months off and I am focusing on FTP. I can *totally* relate to being reckless on other sites. To be honest, as you are a winning player I don't know how you aren't more reckless. In Feb I won the Bodog 70K and came in second in an FTP 35K I think it was two days later. Anyway it was enough to bankroll me pretty well. I had money on all the sites and went nuts. Lost about half of my winnings and cashed them all out before I lost the rest. Now I'll come back but do it a bit more slowly and controlled than I was before. Even though I won the bulk of my money on Dog I really didn't like the site. I'd catch myself doing crazy things thinking "well I really don't like this site and if I bust I can just close the window ... besides I'm in 4 others on FTP and stars right now so this Bodog one doesn't matter." Never before had a thought like that crossed my mind but with several K on all the sites it just didn't matter to me. I hope to get back to the point I am playing on them all again but hopefully this time with the proper mind set. Is it that you don't care for the other sites or that Stars is the "important" site to you and you just don't give the others the same level of play that you do on Stars?

    I agree with PrestonLuv. Full Tilt seems softer at the lower levels.

    I play stars, Tilt and Bodog but 80% of my play is on Stars.

    I play FTP and stars, but I run so much better on FTP(or run so bad on Stars) I play mostly on Tilt.

    I started on UB, played on stars almost exclusively in 2005 and 2006, and now I only play on Full Tilt.

    I just like the Full Tilt structures so much better.

    On Stars:

    I can't get past the jump from 100/200 25 to 200/400 50. Even with 3,000 starting chips, and even if you have doubled your chips in the 1st 5 levels, you only have 15BBs.

    I used to play at multiple sites. I played at party, Paradise and FTP. Since I live in the good ol' USA, I can now only play at FTP so I only play there now. I hear awful, shitty things about UB so what's the point? stars I have glanced at but never deposited. I think I might be the only person who has never played anything on Stars ever.

    Yeah I used to play at multiple sites, but i'm 100% with stars now. I'd like to get some money on FTP, but still figuring out how I would go about doing that easily.

    Just recently i have been able to use my Wachovia Visa Check card, try that. It works on FTP, UB, and Absolute. Haven't tried it anywhere else yet.. I think they have changed it where they are using outside credit card processing companies that aren't listed as gambling sites, therefore they are not blocked by your bank.

    BTW when i tried to use it last week, it didn't work.. This week it works.. It's getting easier to get money in again like the days of Neteller.

    I play FT, UB and stars, i play less and less stars because i suck on stars. I have good results on UB and FT so i play more there. If i were to be asked i would say FT is my home site, only reason ub isnt is because of lack of mtts.

    Here is a counter question, do you think if you play more on a site you do play better there? ie,... i suck on stars, if i spent a couple weeks playing there and almost exculsively there would i get more used to it and play better?

    Like BR, I used to only play on UB, but now I play almost exclusively on FTP. I want to play on stars but my Wachovia Visa/Debit doesn't work there - how do you guys get money on Stars?

    Also, are Bodog/Absolute worth playing on (graphics aside)? Anyone know if Absolute takes Wachovia Visa/Debit?

    I work until 5:30, but my nightly schedule on FTP usually entails a 69+6 doublestack, the 8:00 p.m. 150, 8:30 p.m. 30r, 11 p.m. 100. The 24 dollar tournaments usually attract very large fields. The 50/50 is a great new tournament with a very friendly structure.

    Anyone care to post nightly tournaments they play across the sites? I'm sure we'd all appreciate it VERY MUCH.

    My favorite site to play has always been Bodog, especially when there's a big sporting event on television. Played 99% SNGs. Finally cashed out entirely, due to software.
    I also play on stars (MTT) and UB (SNGs). Limited, of course, by (in)ability to deposit, so I am micro-ing. Based on earlier posts, better get back to FTP, where I actually have a modest roll.

    I am constantly switching between stars, Bodog, FTP, and UB. I like things about each. Also if I run bad on one, I go to other hoping to break my luck.

    I used to play almost exclusively on Paradise.

    I play the most on Bodog, the 8:30 MTT is a prefect time for my schedule, kids in bed. FT is my 2nd choice mostly because that is the only Sunday Major that starts at a good time for me. I am a total donk on stars, I play so bad there I feel like a guy with a fistfull of $100's that can't get a lap dance at Scores. I just deposited on UB for first time in a long time.

    Similarly to OP i started exclusively on UB since it was the first site id heard of back in the day, then dabbled on WPX and party, and now am 100% stars, def my fav site for any type of game.
