    Does supernova elite carry over from last year? If so elky made 1.5 m points last year so he would tie with dario.

    Well anyway I would bet 10k that elky will be the first person to reach 1m vpp for the new year.

    bigjoe, didn't realize you were newt_buggins... someone must have stole that name for stars as i remember playing with a newt_buggs or something like that on stars.

    newt_buggs on pokerstars is a different guy than newt_buggins on party poker (me) though he is also an extremely good player, just doesnt play crazy volume.

    ok, that makes sense now. i played as kcmorgan on party and played with you quite a bit for a few months. didn't see newt_buggs much on stars but he seemed good, which is why i assumed it was you. if i get above the 225s soon maybe ill start donating to your bankroll.

    How are these guys already Elite? They just intrduced it; is pokerstars going retroactive for these guys? Are you just speculating that they're already Elite, or is this confirmed and if so can someone plz post that confirmation?

    None of the top players are elite just yet its only the second day these people have no idea what they are talking about, but the supernova does carry over the first month as does sliver gold and plat. Essentially everyone is starting over with a bigger goal. I dont think we will super elite till month 2. My guess would be the high limit sng artists and the higher lvl poker players, im goin with elkey also.

    This extra VIP level is for those few players that generate the most money for stars. They are continuing to reward these players with something extra to encourage them to stay at Stars. With this in mind I'm sure they gave Elite to those who met the requirements in 2006 and possibly those that were close.

    Stars likely even consulted with the high volume players beforehand in regards to what they would like to see for an Elite VIP level. Just like they did before the original VIP program was rolled out last year.
